The NYT says par today was 4.4, which is only slightly high. I think i was more unlucky than messed up.

I got it in 4 but was very lucky to do so. Not skill. After my 3rd guess there were 5 possible words.

My starting pair includes the seven most common consonants and the three most common vowels in Wordle solutions thus far. So when those two words went a combined 0-for-7 on consonants, the good news is that there weren’t a hell of a lot of possibilities remaining, given the two green vowels. My third guess hadn’t yet been a solution, so I had hopes of a 3, but it left only one choice on 4, so it was all good.
