Saw this and wondered, which English names of Greek letters have been Wordle solutions? Turns out there are seven Greek letters whose English names have five letters: alpha, gamma, delta, kappa, sigma, theta, and omega. Theta was the fifth of these seven to be a Wordle solution. Kappa and sigma are the two that haven’t been used.

WAKEN → Carryover is all right. I’m not sure why I didn’t go with STONE here, but for some reason I got obsessed with the I and decided to try
NEIST → which I didn’t even know was a word, and superficially helped me but a little. So I decided it’s time to place the E, which I tried with
SCENE → which got me to think about SCONE (haven’t had breakfast yet) which led shortly to

Scoredle recommended PENNE, a real placement play, for my followup, but my next two guesses after my early error were the same as its suggestions. Scoredle also finishes in four, but with a 1-in-3 for that par, so the algorithm gets a little lucky itself in the endgame.
