Words that are made up of all vowels!

Wiki sez oy vey is Yiddish, but oy vavoy is Hebrew.

(YO ADRIAN! I DID IT!)

But that is not the Hebrew spelling of those words.

Surely you don’t expect me to yo-yo on this.

At this point I wouldn’t dream of it. I am impressed with your inconsonants.

I’m in awe of your compliment.

Iouea is the name of a genus of sea sponges.

Yew is the name of a tree.

‘w’ certainly does NOT count as a vowel in the word “Iowa.” There is apparently wide and deep misunderstanding about y and w sometimes being vowels. See diphthongs.

Oa - the home of the Guardians and the Green Lantern Corps
Oe - a village in Estonia
oi - oy
Oo - a commune in France
ou - an endangered form of the Hawaiian honeycreeper, a bird
oy - an exclamation of chagrin or dismay

Memorizing the two and three letter words is very necessary. They’re easy to find online. And, no, I don’t have them memorized.

I don’t think ao is, either. Let me check.

Nope. No ao. That doesn’t mean it’s not a word, of course, it just means that you can be called on it if you use it in Scrabble. (I really hate that they allow SH, HM, and MM.)
