My Precious!
We got my engagement band from Titanium Era; engraving is on the inside for non-text rings. Text rings have the option of engraving on both sides.
Just a followup. I ended up ordering plain bands, with an inlaid gold stripe, but no carved design on the outside. I did, however, get this text split between the bands on the inside. Thanks Cluricaun.
Don’t forget to add the marriage date!
Having that inscribed on the inside of my wedding ring has saved my ass every year since wifey and I wed.
I’d go for the simple option of each other’s names and the wedding date. But then I am not very romantic.
My wife’s wedding band says “I choose to love no other.” in Old French. Mine has the date we were married in Roman numerals. Twice.
Oooh. In a little more than 2 years this could be XXX to represent 10/10/10.
I kind of like this line from an ee cummings poem:
i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)
If you divide the line up it may make a nice pair?
Regardless of the ring questions, if you don’t know the poem, you can read it here . It’s fantastic.
And, in the end, the love you make is equal to the love you make. --The Beatles
This ring and no other
Was made by the elves
Who would pawn their own mother
To grab it themselves
Ruler of mortal, creeper, and scallop
This is a sleeper that packs quite a wallop
If broken or busted it can’t be remade
If found send to Sorehead
The postage is prepaid
My husband’s ring is platinum and titanium mixed and mine is gold, both are 2mm and both are engraved on the inside.
They both have “Nakayoshi” (good friends) and the year of our wedding - 1994 engraved inside them.
We didn’t get the actual dates put on because we had three ceremonies that year - the legal signing day, the Japanese ceremony and then the English ceremony. Which to choose? We were THOROUGHLY married!
