I hope you can help me with a problem. On my mom’s ipad the board for words with friends is only the size of an iphone. I am 6,000 miles away and can’t find an answer on the net. My mom has never used a computer before and I give her a lot of credit for using an ipad. She has figured out several problems on her own but for some reason she can’t get the board to be the correct size.
If you can help I might do a cartwheel.
It sounds like she downloaded the iphone version. Iphone apps work on an ipad, but the resolution is usually too low to be enjoyable in fullscreen mode. If she wants to keep using the iphone version (on her ipad), there will be a small icon that looks like a box with lines at each of the corners, outside of the playing area of the game. This will send the game into full screen mode.
A better option is to get the version for ipad. I think it’s a dollar, but it might be available for free. When she searches for the game in the app market, the device will sort the results based on whether its an iphone app, or an ipad only app. The iphone version will be toward the top, and the ipad version will be toward the bottom. Each section is clearly marked “iphone” or “ipad,” but it’s easy to overlook it. I’m guessing that’s how she ended up with the wrong version in the first place.

That must be what happened because she told me it was 3 bucks and I was sure I had just played one dollar.
