Working with the Simpsons!

Yet another Simpsons thread, won’t it be fun? I was trying to think last night of all the different jobs we’ve seen various members of the family hold. So far I’ve come up with:

Maggie: Fish gutter, TV star

Lisa: Baby sitter, screenwriter, financial consultant, fish gutter, President of the United States, TV star

Marge: Homemaker (even though since she doesn’t get paid it’s not a real job), police officer, pretzel wagon proprietress, fish gutter, TV star

Bart: Hall monitor, screenwriter, Mafia bartender, comic book store manager, courior, treehouse casino manager, construction/demolition worker, Chief Justice of the United States, fish gutter, TV star

Homer: Technical supervisor, safety officer, union head, personal assistant to Montgomery Burns, baseball mascot (Dancin’ Homer), Mid-management person for supervillain, Kwik-e-Mart counterman, Gulp-N-Blow worker, astronaut, recording artist, pin monkey at Barney’s Bowl-a-rama, snowplow driver, fish gutter, TV star, TV producer/writer/director, automobile designer, elephant ride proprietor, food critic, mayor, sanitation commissioner

No doubt there are others, especially for Homer. Help me fill in the blanks?

In thinking of these jobs, I tried to include anything that somebody might actually get paid for doing. I included “future” jobs but didn’t list anything that might have come from “Treehouse of Horror” episodes.

Bart worked at the whorehouse too, he had lots of duties there. And owned an obsolete factory, factory manager??

Homer and Bart were carnival workers, and Homer also worked on a movie with Mel Gibson, and as an assistant for Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

Alec Baldwin: And this time…it’s personal…well it is!..HE’S GOT OUR UNDERPANTS

Ron Howard: Homer, we’re out of vodka!
Homer was also a college student.

Homer and Abe spent some quality time on the road together as snakeoil/magic tonic salemen.

Oh right. And marge worked there too, to pay off the damages she caused with the bulldozer.

Bart was also doorman for a “house of ill repute” after breaking one of their gargoyles i believe.

Wasn’t Bart a personal assistant to Crusty the Clown for a while?

Homer also sold sugar, worked as a farmer and ran a stand selling tomato/tobacco hybrids, ran a day-care center, and became a baby safety contractor.

And was also a blackjack dealer, a voice actor (Poochie), a freak show exhibit, and a trucker. He also worked with the FBI. Marge also worked as the Listen Lady, but as a volunteer.

Marge was a real estate agent in one episode. If I remember right she sold Ned Flanders a haunted house.

Don’t for get Homer’s telemarketing scam.

Bart also worked for the Springfield Mafia.

[stupid nitpick] Burlesque House. [/stupid nitpick]

What? What???

Marge was a slot-jockey.

Homer was also a teacher. I’m not sure exactly what he was supposed to teach, but he spilled all of his and marge’s love secrets.

Homer was supposed to teach how to build a successful marriage.

Lisa: Are you going to work from a standardized text, or are you using the Socratic method of classroom participation.

Homer: Yes, honey, daddy’s a teacher.

Homer was a boxer. That episode was on today.

“Bang Bang” Bart, he was a stripper, when maggie became when lisa became president.
