Anyone merging their account to a Battle.net should not forget to pick up their battle bot pet.

Click on the button in the lower right hand corner and follow instructions. The pet was the only reason why I merged my accounts but now with the authenication issues I am glad I did.
Also on Battle.net’s FAQ page Blizz says that eventually they are going to force everyone to merge their accounts so you might as well do it now so you can get the pet.

I got mine the day the pets were first available (and, indeed, merged my account with Battle.net precisely to obtain it). However, I only got this particular pet because it added to the number I had already. To be honest, I’ll probably never actually pull it out. There are much cooler pets I’d rather run with, after all!

I went ahead and did the thing to get the pet, then logged in my main, and there it was in the mailbox. Then I wondered, “How did it know which character to send it to?” I was surprised to find out that every single one of my 26 toons got one.
Now I need to figure out this “fuel” thing.
You get fuel by going back to the Game Fuel website and signing in. I think you may have to do something like click a button but I don’t remember. I only got the pet to have it as an extra number for the pet achievements.
I am installing WOTLK. It takes approximately forever.
Just hit Exalted with both Gnomeregan and Darnassus! On my way to buy my mechanostrider and big kitty now
Tried to exit the game a while ago, but the screen froze on my scenario (next to Heather, of course), and would have stayed that way till now if I hadn’t hit CTRL/ ALT/ DEL!

Heh. I also decided to spend a crapload of money and buy myself a Titansteel Destroyer and a Brilliant Titansteel Helm.
And the Dalaran fishing bag gave me the Bone Fishing Pole. As mentioned earlier, it’s inferior to the Kalu’ak pole I already have, but still cool to get 
I had a good day fishing, too!
I got the fishing hat in the fishing bag, so no more spending money on lures. Then, I discovered a fishing bot. Well, I noticed him YESTERDAY, fishing in a strange corner of Lake Indu’le, with no schools of fish in sight. Then I saw him again today in the exact same corner. Then, when I went to list my Dragonfins in the AH, there was only one other seller - and they were all HIM. Of course, I reported him. Then went back to fishing…
…and fished up my Sea Turtle! And, of course everyone in the guild is jealous.
