Dude! Me And Wolkie saw a chick in a bikini sitting right in front of the mailbox in SW.

Well, maybe “bikini” is being too generous.

But a thong and not much more than 2 band-aids for sure.

Can they wear just that little bit - no protection?

Quasi

I only had time to log in for a few minutes last night, and will be on more tonight, but I had one problem:
My level 46 Paladin got an the email about artisan riding. Obviously I’m not going to spend 50g for a mount that I can learn to summon for 2g, so I went to my trainer. Well, I see the spell “Summon Charger” and it says “Requires Level 40” but it’s red and unavailable to me. What up with that, Blizz?

At least all the lower level mounts are twice as fast as before (150% instead of 60%, I think I read).

Level 1 bank wearing only her underoos, or ooooold (as in, before Blizzard realized they’d magically managed to attract female players) level 60sh plate bikini, Quasi

Relevant link.

Ticket them to Hell and back, Skammer. Worst case they tell you it’s a feature… hopefully not.

You get the mount for 2g but you still need the Journeyman Riding skill from the riding trainer.

:smack:

Yep. Before 3.2, you had a choice:

  1. Do the pain in the ass quest chain at 60. You get the Charger without having to buy Journeyman Riding or the Summon Charger skill, although the quest chain itself requires a lot of money. You also got a Feat of Strength achievement for this.
  2. Wait until 61 and buy Journeyman Riding and the Summon Charger skill.

All they’ve done is take path 2 and drop it to level 40. The quest chain is still available at 60, though why anyone would want to is beyond me. (I suppose you could do it at 80 for the achievement.)

Rik, as I understand it, Seal of Command is the new Martyr, although Seal of Vengeance is pretty boss now too.

The new druid models are FANTASTIC! I must have spent over 1g adjusting my cowgirl’s colors at the barber shop last night and then transforming to see how the new skin color shook out to new fur colors. I settled on the black bear/cat.

MonkeyQuest is broken… :frowning: and no sign of a new update on it yet.

It was only 20 for me too. Basically just tap one, if you can find one everyone and their brother, mother and cousin Vinny was out doing it yesterday, and let it beat on you until you get the 20 poisons. I almost got the 20 off of one ravasaur but some yahoo hunter shot it and pulled the aggro off of me and then killed it. Thankfully though he apologized so I let it slide found a second ravasaur about 5 minutes later and got my last couple of poisons.

It is a good way to level up your “knuckle sandwich” I already got it on my main but I was still punching the sucker for funzies.

The second quest is to gather 4 eggs from nests around the area and turn them in and you get to keep one which hatches into your ravasaur and he is SO CUTE!. He’s all tiny with a big head and big ol’ goofy eyeballs. Then I had to gather 15 pieces of meat for him and then I got a tooth.

I did another quest for the little guy this morning and I had to go to Tanaris and gather feathers off of Searing Roc’s. So only 18 more days until my little guy is all grown up.

I did the orphan quests out of Dalaran and now I have my own little oracle buddy to follow me around.

I also checked out the Argent Tourney and it looks spiffy. Although I was highly disappointed by the Sunreaver Quartermaster all he had for sale was another non-combat pet, a land mount, an air mount and a banner. I was hoping for some good stuff. The new dailies for those with the Crusader title were ok. I was hoping for some awesomeness.

What is super awesome though is the engineering auctioneer in Dalaran.

And lastly I was worried about my dragons eye gems on my jewelcrafter because the notes said they would be changed from prismatic to a certain colored slot. Luckily for me my three were already in the “proper” slot. They also upped the stats on them. My +27 strength dragon’s eye gems jumped up to +34.

These (they did same to locks) mount changes make me sad. The quests are awesome, and while they’re expensive, they’re very cool (at least horde side). The lock quest is better than the pally quest, but there’s goodness for both. I haven’t checked, but can you still do the quest if you buy the skill? If not, then this is certainly sad making.

Seal of Blood/[del]Whining[/del]Martyr went away because they didn’t like the recoil mechanic, the effective burst in PvP, and that no one ever used Command (cause it sucked). I haven’t dug through the numbers to see what’s worth spending points on yet, as I haven’t been playing much for the last month or so. I don’t know how much I care, honestly, as I find melee dps resoundingly uninteresting.

I think so. I’m not certain. I do know that although I bought the Aquatic Form on my Druid recently, the quest to obtain that is still sitting there waiting for me.

I was lucky; I like my tauren druid’s model as is, and she turned up as the “red bear”/“red cat” models, which I also like.

Regarding the chnages to mounts this page: wow wiki Riding says:

"Associated quests for the mounts will not be removed. "

but it also says this:

“Paladins receive the 75 skill as part of buying their level 20 mount from their trainer. At level 40 they can learn Charger from their trainer and get the journeyman riding skill (and a feat in 3.1) for free.”

So does this mean pallys have to get the journeyman riding skill first (for free) then they’ll be able to learn the spell??

1.) Blizzard is working on upgrading their hardware. That’s what the various extended maintenance downtimes have been about.

2.) Until they have the hardware to support more simultaneous instances, they will continue to limit how many total instances are launched at a time. IMO, while they could use a queueing system, this is preferable to getting into an instance only to wipe repeatedly to lag.

3.) Always, always, always keep trying to get in. With 5-mans, you usually will make it sooner or later. Last night, I couldn’t get into AQ40 (presumably because it’s a 40-man raid) but I **could **get into WC (5-man dungeon) after a handful of tries.

There’s no way for Blizzard to know what bits of their code that addon writers have used, and it would be silly to write their patches to take every addon into account (or even the most popular ones). The good addons are almost never permanently broken–they usually have new working versions up for download within a day or two, at the worst.

Honor Points are not related to Reputation (Friendly/Honored/Revered/Exalted). You gain Honor Points through Player versus Player (PvP) combat. You gain honor from Honorable Kills (when you or someone you are grouped with kills another player that is your level, above your level, or only a few levels lower than you), from some PvP quests, and from participating in Battlegrounds like Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin.

Honor Points are like gold that you can only spend on PvP-related items. You won’t lose anything by spending them, other than the opportunity to spend them on something else–and you can always earn and spend more Honor.

If you take all your character’s clothes off, they’re never completely naked–the bottom-most layer is underwear. Some people think it’s funny to strip mostly-naked and hang our or dance in public areas. (Other people even try to charge money to strip and dance… Which some people apparently pay to see, even though they could make their own character and do the same thing. Go figure.)

Someone already answered that you were missing the riding skill you needed, but here’s my note for future reference: if there’s a skill you can’t train that you think you should be able to, select the skill and take a closer look at the requirements. In the case of the Paladin mount, you’d have seen that the “Level 40” was in white, but the “Journeyman Riding Skill” was in red.

For anybody else who’s interested, there have been posts put up on various sites mapping out how Nelf hair and Tauren skin tones convert to Druid forms. I know WoW Insider either did their own or linked to someone else’s–a little bit of digging should save you a decent amount of cash, especially at higher levels.

And sometimes it’s not intentional. Last night I was doing chain heroic runs (yay Emblems of Conquest) and on DTK I zoned in and the two players that were already in the instance both appeared to have no gear (other than weapons) equipped. At first I thought that they were just joking around (“I can tank this naked. LOL”) but later found out it was just an instance-server bug.

Here’s their description: http://www.wow.com/2009/06/05/zarhym-explains-druid-form-colour-combos/

I have a Tauren female with the reddish-brown coloration, so she’s listed as “brown bear” (top right in their graphic), “red cat” (top left). The cat has a ring in her nose, and the bear has something of a collar-like band, plus little Tauren-tribal-looking trinkets hanging off her horns/collar.

I embarrassed myself due to this bug. My partner’s roommate was running her and I through Dire Maul, and for whatever reason I just kept on dying. You’d think being in plate would be sufficient to survive, even talented for Retribution, but it just ain’t so. At one point I died and ran back into the instance to find both of them completely stripped down. I thought we were going to run it naked, so I stripped down too. They eventually got back to their computers and asked me why I was naked. …D’oh.

The naked bug is my favorite bug. Unfortunately, it hasn’t happened to me in months. :frowning:

Ahahaha, thank you for the laugh.

Bwahahaha! That’s funny, Boss.

A month or two ago I ran Uthgarde Keep with a party who all appeared to be naked. It was especially funny because the tank was a female blood elf, so she was this skinny little thing fighting giants in her underwear.

Does the bug remove gear, or just make it look like (a client-side display-only-error) they’re naked to you?

It just makes it look like everyone else is naked, from what I can tell it happens because the gear models don’t load properly, if someone equips something after you’ve been hit by the bug you will see that piece of equipment.
