Sweet! That means I just need nine more months to fill out my achievements.
Do you mean Cracking Maury’s Foot? Are you at the Ogre Mound? You have to kill ogres until the key drops. Or to get the foot itself (Voodoo Dues)? Same thing…you need to kill the trolls until the foot drops.
If this is in Stranglethorn Vale we’re talking about, Maury is a named mob - a zombie, to be specific. Kill him and take his false foot.
:smack:
I haven’t done the quest in a LONG time…
Incidentally, I got Ambassador tonight and also finished up exploring both Old World continents. Now proceeding to level as normal with interruption for my venomhide dailies (I have 14 teeth now).
I know, Kiddos, but Wolkie keeps killing Ogres and not finding the “right one”.
If we stand there long enough, they re-spawn, but they aren’t the right ones!
Will the right one eventually turn up even if I happen to die?:smack:
Looks like I need to charge the mob, thunder-clapping first!
Still something wrong with throwing the darts…
… but I’ll get it figgered out!
Lower levels see me at FP’s and ask if I can run them through DM, etc., and I have to tell 'em “no, cause I’m an idjit”, and then they don’t believe me 'cause they see my level, even when I tell 'em I’m 59 years of age and demented, they still ask me “why”???
Thanks,
Q
I try to explain I had LOTS of help, but I don’t get believed.
:):)
That’s why I got my “kids”!
Y’all seriously ROCK!
There are dozens of ways to skin that cat and your way sounds good too.
It was 20% last week. Still its tough to burn through a 20% heal too many times.
The no melee damage and hordes of adds during phase 2 make it kinda tough.
I wish I had the time for a hard core guild but I just can’t.
Wow, that’s kinda what I like about it.
Yeah, it was the broken foot thing, and thanks, I’ll just keep wiping them out!
Also… no mailbox in Gadgetzan, huh?
Thanks
Q
There is a mailbox in Gadgetzan, right outside the inn. Mailboxes of different races look different. It is just to the left of the inn’s door, if you’re outside looking in.
It’s just a “rare drop”, Q - kill ogres all over that area and wait for it to drop off one. It doesn’t have to be in that exact spot, it’s just giving you a “bullseye” to aim for if you’re looking at a big map.
And as for the people who ask to be run through a dungeon - just say no! You don’t have to explain why - though the annoying ones will ask - because if you spent all your time helping strangers who are just trying to get a free ride, you’d have no time to play for your own enjoyment.
I agree with both paragraphs. Rare drops can drive you batty. I’ve spent an hour or more trying for rare quest drops and getting nothing. (Which isn’t even to mention farming for whelplings!)
I had an incipient beggar last night. I’d turned in the crimson crystal quest-starter with the elf at Cenarion OUtpost in Hellfire, and she summoned the giant with it. I killed it, and a fellow death knight whispered me “How’d you do that!?”
He’d been having a lot of trouble with the colossi across the way, and was kind of hinting that he wanted to team up for them. Unfortunately for him, it was something like 2AM and well past time for me to log out and sleep. So I told him I was just about to log out and did so.
I only remembered because I’ve done the quest recently, twice in fact, while working on my alts.
I got Keliraeda, my belf pally, to level 61 last night, and then realized, “Holy crap, I’ve gained 8 levels in a week!” (Keli was lvl 53 when we ran ST last Saturday). I guess I can continue to endorse the TourGuideaddon. Following the guide is speeding me right along! Of course, it also helped that I hit Outland as soon as she reached level 58, but then TourGuide had me doing quests that involved killing a lot of level 60-62 mobs. Keli also got her first flying mount last night (I picked the blue wyvern).
While questing in Hellfire Peninsula the last couple days (I was a bit peeved to discover that the Horde quests handed out at Thrallmar are virtually identical to the Alliance quests handed out at Honor Hold), I’ve been astonished by how lively the PvP action has been with those three objectives you can capture. My chat log showed a near nonstop stream of “The stadium has been captured by the Horde!” “The overlook has been captured by the Alliance!” It’s been going back and forth so much that I don’t think either faction has managed to keep control of all three objectives for more than a few minutes at a time. This is a dramatic contrast to when I was questing in HP with my human pally (on a different server) — it was next to impossible to do the dailies to capture the objectives because almost every time I was there the Alliance already controlled them, and there just weren’t enough Horde players to capture them and flip them over. It was so bad that if Alliance players saw Horde players capturing the objectives, nobody would interfere. We had to let them capture them so that we would even be able to take them back and get credit for the dailies.
Did that Grillok “Darkeye” NPC used to be an elite? I got the quest to kill him, and the quest text recommended 2 players, and so I asked in guild chat if somebody wanted to come help me with him. But I decided to peek in on him, and discovered he was merely a normal, non-elite level 61 mob. He had a couple level 61 buddies with him, but I took them out first (I pulled one with Exorcism, and he and the other one ran up to me, but Grillok himself hung back and did nothing while I took out his guards. Then all I had to do was fight him one-on-one. Piece of cake.
There he goes again, with the :smack:
You havin’ trouble with your memory too, jay?

Q
Rik, when I went to download Tour Guide, it asked me which version of Curse I have: V3 or V4. I couldn’t find that info so I went to “update all” on Curse, and it says I have to be a premium member to use that feature.
Could you kindly guide me through that? It sounds like something that may be beneficial to me.
Thanks
Quasi
