I just watched a video explaining the new Argent Tournament. It was done by a level 80 resto shaman. In the video, he was consistently attacking targets and hitting for 7,000 to 10,000 damage–consistently enough that I don’t think they were crits. I’ve never played a shaman past about level 15, and that blew me away.

My level 80 frost mage hits for under 3,000 and even his crits don’t get anywhere near 10K. Was that shaman just geared really, really well or are they really that powerful?

My level 80 Arcane mage, in full Naxx/Malygos/Sartharion-25 epics, hits for around these numbers as well–his normal hits are in the 5-8K range, and his crits are in the 10-13K range IIRC. In any case, the numbers you mentioned don’t seem like totally out-there numbers for a well-geared 80.

Contacting Account Administration is good – they can investigate the ban over the weekend and start restorations and such. Also good is to contact Billing – of course, they’re only available Monday thru Friday, so of COURSE the most common time to get hax0red is 8:01 PM PST Friday night. When you talk to them, though, they can at least make sure your contact info is right and may even give you some tips on getting the account back.

The good news: It’s almost certainly all okay. Very few bans (at least, of the kind you get when your account gets jacked) stick anymore and it is easy to prove you weren’t the one who did whatever it was happened. It’s pretty slow at the moment, so accounts go from “horribly jacked up and banned to boot” on Monday to “mostly fixed” on Friday.

Thanks for the extra info. I still haven’t heard back from Blizzard, aside from the automated response I got the day after I reported the hack. If I don’t hear anything by tomorrow, I’ll try contacting the billing department directly.

Argh…this is killing me. I am dying to try the dual spec. I can resto/tank my druid and pve/pvp my hunter.

My entire guild is hanging out on my vent server just waiting and checking the updates every hour.

I’m just happy that since Blessing of Kings is now a learnable spell, I’ll presumably have more points to put into my tree on other things.

I’m pretty sure you have a low toon there already, just fyi. You took my first toon to UC!

For starters, I love not having a quiver/ammo pouch now. Replaced it with the Harris Pilton big arse bag. 30 min cooldown on hearth is nice. The free respec was nice too, though I’m not sure if I’ll dual spec yet or not. On my death knight, I’m really enjoying the changes to unholy presence. 15% increased movement and attack speed with the 0.5 reduction in global cooldown is fun.

The biggest and happiest thing for me is whatever they did to piss off the twinks. My god general and trade chat were filled with the moans and screams of newly nerfed twinks.:D:D:D:D Now could someone explain what Blizzard did to make them so miserable and me so happy?

I would probably love the patch…if I had enough free space on my frickin’ hard drive to install it! My current PC is a piece of crap anyway, so I ordered a new one, which I should have by the ned of the month. No WoW for me 'til then, unfortunately. I may wind up missing Noblegarden as a result, which is a major bummer, but oh well. I should be back online just in time for Children’s Week, though.

Then I begin my farming quest for all the new pets. I currently have 70 of them, so pretty close to the Salt Lick already. And I need a Chef’s Hat.

And what Blizzard did to piss off the twinks was this:

Some enchants now have level restrictions. Note: the enchant is never removed from the item to which it’s applied, however, players no longer receives its benefit until they reach the required level. Any enchants modified in this way have had their tooltips updated.

I did? I dont have anything higher than something like an 11, though my DK is about half way through the baby DK quest cycle.

Now I have to rummage around and see what the guild name is, and who I need to get to tag me in

I got so sick of the screaming twinks in Trade that I said something like “we don’t care, go complain on the Blizzard forums.” My husband then logged in and got to see one of the shrieking twinkies shoot back with “fck you, btch” (not censored in chat but I’m posting this via work). My response was something like “o noes. Your tears make me so happy” and to put the idiot on ignore. I thought my husband was going to spray his monitor with his drink upon reading that from me.

I dual-spec’d my 80 priest… as 14/57/0 (primarily Holy) vs. 57/14/0 (primarily Disc). :smack: Here I had these little dreamy-dreams of going Shadow again, until I read PlusHeals and Elitist Jerks about raid healing vs. tank healing. Oh well.

I also respec’d my 80 warlock as 0/40/31 (Demon/Destro) to try that out.

I didn’t find a good tank druid spec yesterday so the 80 druid is still talentless. I didn’t bother yet with my 72 hunter, or my army of lowbies.

(I am not addicted, why do people keep saying that?! )

2. Since I have Vista now I have forgotten how to a screenshot of my toon. Here’s what I do.

a. Hit Alt and Prnt Scrn
b. hit the windows key
c Go to paint
d Choose Edit
e Click paste

And this is where I get hung up: I try to crop my toon with the rectangle, but when I hit Save As and save it to my pictures, I get the whole screen, not the area I cropped (just the toon w/o the background stuff).

What am I leaving out, guys?

Quasi, the Tauren Chieftains play at the World’s End Tavern in Shattrath City. Shattrath is in Terrokar Forest in Outland (don’t know if you’ve gotten that far yet). You can also see them (though not hear them play) on a balcony in Silvermoon City…when you go in the front gate into the city proper, turn right and look up.

There should actually be a folder inside your WoW folder called “Screenshots”…the program automatically ports the clipboard picture that PRTSCN creates into a jpg image and saves it in that folder. Go on into there and see what you’ve got…you can then crop it like a regular jpg in any photo/pic editor.

The band… let me think. Ah hah - Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftains mostly play gigs in the World’s End Tavern in Shattrath, or in the bar in the dungeon Blackrock Depths. The safest way to see them is to get a port from a mage to Shattrath, and ask a guard where the tavern is. They only play one song, so be prompt!

For the pictures, after you pick the area that you want to crop, go to the Edit menu and pick Copy. Then - pick New from the File menu (same drop-down menu as the save option), opt to make a new picture, confirm that yes, you do not want to save your current picture, and when you get the blank slate, choose Paste. Now you can save!

Silvermoon is open - do you have the Burning Crusade expansion? You get to it via Undercity assuming that you’re Horde (don’t try if you’re Alliance) - when you walk in the front gate, look off to the right (east) side for some stairs going up out of the courtyard. Walk up there and if there’s an arch leading to a smaller area with some weird golden orb thing in it, and you can click on that orb, this will take you to Silvermoon City (the home of the blood elves).

Shattrath is also part of the Burning Crusade expansion, so you need that expansion pack to get there. It’s on another planet, essentially, called Outland. Shattrath is a big city where the guards are neutral and both Alliance and Horde can bank and buy. There are permanent portals to both groups’ major cities there, so some people will set their hearthstone in Shattrath and then use the portals to get around Azeroth easily.
