Shibb, see WOWInsider’s articlere: the mirror that their sister site set up for the entirety of the patch.
I’m in the same situation as you except that mine’s a PC. I was able to gank the patch from there in 1:30 instead of waiting another day or two for the last 31% of the patch. :smack:
I did manage to sell a random potion I made (I wracked my brain trying to remember which one, but it wasn’t a very high-level potion) for more than 19 gold at the auction house, which was a big surprise. If I can do that some more, I won’t mind not getting much for the quiver. Its price will be pure profit anyway, since it was a quest reward.
Is it just Lightbringer, or has the price of Netherweave shot up since the patch? I hit the AH and found Netherweave bolts going for around 60g for a stack of 20!
Elixir of Fortitude, perhaps? There’s a questline that requires two of them, with a pet dragon as a reward. Here’s a link to the quest that requires the elixirs.
Gatherer and Cartographer both dead which is annoying. Question about them – how can I disable addons when logged in? I had to log out to do it, what am I missing?
Exorcism lets me kill things much quicker, my level 38 Ret Pally was a killing machine last night. Mana drains a lot quicker though (obviously).
If I mine a node and leave, say, the stone in it it seems I can mine it again and again and this can raise my mining skill. Is this a bug?
Mister rik can you show me your spec? I didn’t spend too much time re-speccing last night as I didn’t have long to play and I am worried I might have missed something. Which is the talent you mention that regenerates mana, Judgement of the Wise?
I only have one Major Glyph (Seal of Command) and one Minor Glyph (Sense Undead) any Pallys here recommend other Glyphs? I think I have an empty Major spot.
While Mining in Arathi Highlands I managed to clear away all the fog on the map but I didn’t get the ‘Explore Arathi Highlands’ achievement. Bug or again have I missed something?
Consecration didn’t show up on the ground (the yellow ripple effect) anyone else notice this?
This isn’t always true. There are lots of early quests that give you non-bound potions. For example, the quest Apothecary Zamah and its reward of two swiftness potions.
You probably missed the cove tucked away on the other side of a tunnel. Go to Stromgarde Keep, but don’t go in it. Go towards the coast along the outside of the east edge of the Keep, while keeping an eye on the land to your left. You should see a cave entrance. Go through it. There’s a cove on the other side along with some quests.
You do that in game. If you go to the Achievement it will tell you the missing components. For Explore achievements I find Wowwiki most consistently list, at least approximately, where to find the areas. Good luck.
In game. On your menu bar you have an “Achievements” button. It looks like a shield. Go in there, go to “Exploration” on the left navigation bar, go to “Classic”, then find “Explore Arathi Highlands” in the right half of the window. There should be a bunch of highlighted areas and probably one unhighlighted one. That’s the one you missed. And Broomstick is right…you probably missed the cove. It’s only accessible on the south coast. Her directions are right on, too.
The friend I play with regularly says that some video settings were changed by the patch and one of them was to make spell effects more granular. As a result you have to increase ‘Projected Textures’ in the Effects area of Video settings.
Caveat – I have not tried this myself yet but will tonight.
I noticed some curious things yesterday; one might be a bug, the others probably not.
First the non-bug: there seems to be more animation during weapon swings. I was playing my lvl 44 warrior last night (I always play this alt with a friend on Wednesday nights) and noticed that my 2H sword was leaving a bluish blur behind every time I swung it. Kinda cool.
Also I noticed that there seemed to be additional sound effects going on during combat, but I wasn’t sure what they represented. They were sort of gongish sounds and were of different types. I couldn’t work out if they meant that an ability of mine (like Overpower) was now usable, or if I’d managed to gather the aggro of the mob we were fighting, or what.
The bug that I noticed is that my level 71 paladin seemed to be able to have two auras up at a single time. I was riding around Wetlands trying to complete the exploration achievement, and noticed that I had both the Devotion Aura (bonus to armor) and the Crusader Aura (bonus to mounted speed) active. Both auras have the restriction “A party member may only have one aura per paladin on them at any given time”. Since I was a party of one, I suspect there’s a bug.
