It can’t possibly be that easy (i.e. that you could just ignore them). If nothing else, they’d eat the face off of whatever healer or DPS was unlucky/stupid enough to aggro them later in the fight.
yeah, probably just wishful thinking. Even if it was possible that they didn’t aggro, ranged dps would have to run past to get her if she flew to that side.
Just some wishful thinking.
The adds really aren’t all that bad–just make sure nobody but the tank is in front of them and that somebody disarms them when they do their flaming weapon thing. During ph2, all ranged should stay on Ony, and all melee should go to deal with the big adds. Ony tanks gets on big guys, and whelp tank(s) stay stacked in the middle with the ranged and healers.
Nope. Everybody gets E-Peen. That way, we can wave them around, compare them, smack people with them. Kind of hard to do that with E-Gina.
Whee, another BT’er! I keep my main and alts on there, and I have a baby shaman on Feathermoon-A.
Has anyone read "You Awaken in Razor Hill"yet? If you haven’t, YOU NEED TO. 37 pages of sheer, staggering awesome. WoW meets Zork meets… well, THAT’S a secret!
Grats to **Martu **on his Lvl 1 Human!
I’ve been fishing and engineering like a mofo when I’m on, so now I’m at four hundred forty six skill in engineering. It makes the baby Thrall cry when you look at the mats for the orange goggles that include a Frozen Orb, 8 titanium bars, Heavy Borean Leather…and then realize that even disenchanting you’d only get a pittance back.
Speaking of guild drama, apparently I’d missed out on some back in my old guild on ET. A guy who’s been in and out of the guild for years (because the GM kept violating her own “no re-invites” rule), who also cleared out the gbank not one, not two, but three times in recent memory after “being hacked” (doubts are had), took the cake a few days ago by raiding while either drunk or high (possibly on heroin). As the tank. After whining until they brought him in. Escapades included running down the wrong side of the tunnel and taking a wrong turn on the way back to Hodir after a wipe, despite people saying about fifty times “stay left,” killing not only himself but several other people who were on their way back into the room.
Woo, I get to put “the Astral Walker” after my name as of last night! Server second Algalon-25 kill (our guild had the server first too, but I wasn’t in on it, sadly.)
Currently trying to decide what to do with myself, though. My guild is great and going like gangbusters, but they’ve got too many good raiders and I’m having to sit out more than I’d like to. Trying to decide if it’s worth my while to jump servers and join another guild that’s at the same progression level but has fewer raiders and thus more available spots. I’ve only got two months worth of history with this guild (though I know some of the members from way back), but leaving some of my friends won’t be easy. Moving guilds on the same server isn’t an option, since there isn’t another guild that’s even close to us.
Anybody done this? If so, how did it work out for you?
I think currently the biggest drama in BDL is that the gbank is simply too full. I intend to remedy that once I decide on a crafting profession for Nahren, though.
Fairly soon I plan on using Kene to d/e all the green 70+ gear in the gbank and replacing them with the resulting mats. Then anyone in the guild who wants an enchant (or imbued cloth for your own bag) will be able to get mats from the gbank.
I’ll leave the lower-level greens, and blues for levelers. I’d also like to sell off a bunch of the white stuff we have too many of (especially various foodstuffs) and put the money back in the guild bank. Is there a limit on how many tabs you can have?
I’ll try to refrain from my whole “play the game how you want to play” perspective.
It sounds like you’re borderline either way if you are looking for success stories from others. Look at what you got now, a good guild, a chance to raid in end-game content, you can only move up from where you are now.
If you switch somewhere else, you’ll basically have to start from 0 and move up. You should do some homework and ask around a bit. Log into an alt or something an approach another guild and say that you’re doing xxx content with someone else and are looking for more of xxxx.
Ony’s lair warders appear about halfway up the tunnel into her cavern, and start out already in combat. Without intervention, they’ll go after whoever’s generating the most nontargetted aggro…meaning, your healers. Or, if noone is healing, that poor mage that’s channeling Evocation.
However, do not try to intercept them in that tunnel. If Ony thinks you’re trying to run for it, you’ll wind up extra-tasty-crispy.
Yeah, I did that. I am somewhat borderline, but leaning toward leaving at this point. I have absolutely no problem with my current guild–except for the fact that they’re continuing to recruit, they’re moving up in the world ranks and want to continue to do so, and increasingly they haven’t had a place for me in raids. Other than that they’re great folks and I like them–but I play this game to raid, not to hang around doing dailies, collecting DKP, and hoping to get into a spot. I do get in eventually, of course, but I like progression raiding. My former guild was top on the server during BC and I participated in many server firsts–this guild is top now but they’ve gotten a lot choosier about who they take to non-farm stuff. As they continue to leapfrog some of their existing members with new folks who are better geared from other servers, I just don’t see the problem improving anytime soon (and I see it having the potential to get worse when 3.3 comes out, especially with the limited number of attempts on bosses that are initially going to be in place). So it seems to me that if I am going to make a move, this would be the optimal time to do it.
