If you go Jewelcrafting, I call for a split on the gems and recipes.
Ohshi drama
I’m all for purchasing a 5th tab, but we do need to adhere to some rules on what should be in the gbank and when “enough” might really be “too much”. Lots of duplicate recipes that are easy to obtain in the first place, 8 stacks of Pygmy fish just waiting for the off-chance of being used, etc. Eh, maybe we should discuss it in our BDL Inn.
/roll…no drama!
Probably also worth selling off any duplicate recipes (but not glyphs!).
Hey. HEY. HEY!
The ONLY reason I have the longest schwantzstockerl thread is because I am the most ig’nern’t, okay? I have the MOST questions, because I am the one who is most lacking in skills.
It’s also because I feel “at home” in this thread, and if I had not found WoW and y’all, I think I may have wound up in some asylum somewhere sticking my tongue out for my Thorazine.
Seriously, jayjay? My offer of my old D 3K Dell still stands if you want it. I don’t know how much good it will do you, but It’s just sitting here and I’d be happy for you to have it, my friend.

:o
OMG, I’m so embarrassed. Profuse apologies if I have offended.

No no no, that was me you mugged
Well, I think I’m gonna start hitting some BGs with my 80 pally. Fortunately, I saved all the pieces of that Savage Saronite set in her bank, so I’ve at least got some starting PvP gear. I can see I’m going to have to figure out some different combat routines, though, seeing a how Exorcism doesn’t work on other players (and I don’t imaging Hand of Reckoning is much use in PvP …)
-
Quest Helper “writing” is obscuring Wolkie’s battle status! Several times now, I have caught myself getting dead-ed because I couldn’t see that I had no weaponry. How can I avoid this, y’all?
-
Do y’all do this: I don’t let my currency drop below 800g (soon to be 1k), so as to always have some in “reserve” to armor/weapon up?
Lately most of my money has been spent on potions, and I’d like your opinons on that - warrior wise.
- When I can remember to do it, I try to include my faction, race and ("thing’ - can’t think of the name for the third description!). Does that help y’all to answer my dumb q’s?
Thanks
Quasi
Exorcism DOES work again in PvP, same rules apply regarding to regular cast vs. instant as well. Hand of Reckoning does not work in PvP.
Whoops! :o
I’m not sure why you don’t have any weaponry…are you getting disarmed by a mob or are you actually unequipping your weapon between fights?
Getting disarmed, jayjay. Me and the Wolk’ have a bad habit of getting too “big for our britches” and not waiting to strengthen up, but I still cannot see our “condition” because of the QH tracking.
Wolkie (and Quasi) have a “Fools Rush In”… kinda thang, buddy!
Had a bunch to choose from, (including Bow Wow Wow), but I thought I’d go with “tried and true”.
Enjoy.
Your “Oldie but Goodie” (I hope!)
Q
Do you play with sound on (speakers or headphones), Quasi? Being disarmed makes a distinctive sound, and hitting mobs with your fists also has its own distinctive sound (sounds like…hitting something with your fists!). That’s usually how I know I’ve been disarmed, along with the debuff icon either under your character frame or in your buff bar (assuming you have one downloaded and installed).
Right now, headphones, jay, but I REALLY need to pay closer attention to Wolkie, and I guess it really is my fault for not looking at him onscreen.
It’s just that BEFORE I added QH, I always SAW when he was completely “redded-out”, and now, because some of the writing itself is red, it makes it tough to see…
Q
ETA: SOMETIMES I play with the 'phones around my neck, so I can hear my wife when she needs something…

Quasi, do you mean it’s when your armor gets so beat up that you start seeing the picture with your armor going yellow, then red, then “broken”? You need to fix your armor more often if you can! Try to find a repair person each time you go sell/turn in quests, if possible.
Ah! You’re not getting disarmed. Your weapon (and armor) are getting worn out and damaged to the point where they don’t work anymore. You need to start repairing every time you visit a vendor who can do that. If your cursor becomes an anvil when you mouse-over a vendor, that vendor can repair you. Always go down to the bottom of the vendor window and hit “Repair all”. Every time.
I have an add-on that keeps track of how worn out my equipment is, but it’s part of FuBar and I don’t think you use that add-on suite. It also automatically repairs whenever I open a repairing vendor window.
ETA: I think you can move the little guy, too…though I’m not sure. I don’t even have him visible with the repair add-on I have.
Quasi - you can move the QH stuff to a better location, too (I have it over on the left side of my screen), or even hide it.
Hover your mouse over the QH text, and you should see a small gray rectangle near the one corner. Then if you hover over the rectangle it should show a question mark (assuming you have the latest version of QH). Click and hold on that rectangle, and then drag the QH stuff wherever you want it.
Maybe I’m not making sense (wouldn’t be the first, nor last time;)), but the QH writing turning RED is obscuring my toon figure’s CONDITION. It HIDES it behind it’s WORDING.
Again, all MY fault for not keeping up, but I seem to have become “addicted” to QH, and have just recently learned it cannot be trusted 100%.
Point taken about repairing, and I sure do that, because there are some items I want to send to my partner Wollkie to auction for me, but I’m just saying that sometimes, in the “heat of battle”, I get “teamed up on”, they rob me of my weapons and I cannot always “see” it because of the red writing on the QH tracker.

Thanks
Q
Ah hah, looks like they didn’t track Tastyfish Schools until about 4 months after their introduction. However, this means it’s been a really long time since I’ve been in the tournament, as that was the 2.4.0 patch that fixed that. :smack:
Say, are there any buff foods especially suited to PvP/BGs? I’m getting ready to whip up a batch of Fish Feast (80AP, 46SP, 40STA), which is the highest-level recipe I know, and has the bonus of being able to feed everybody in my party.
Speaking of which, does everybody on my side in a BG count as “my party” for the purpose of this, and similar recipes?
