World of Warcraft General Discussion

Ooh, yeah, I can see that. VH is much friendlier to Death Knights - the time between portals is generally just enough to get Death and Decay off of cooldown, which is handy.

It definitely is. My Druid started at level 1, never did any profession other than Mining and Skinning, sold everything he came across, only spent money on skills (and occasionally cheap greens from the AH to fill out the secondary spec), and still only made 6000 gold by level 77 (which by that time is enough for dual spec, epic flight, and Cold Weather Flying, 1000 + 4000 + 1000).

I use a MS split keyboard and a Sidewinder mouse. I’ve been experimenting with the Logitech G13 keypad, though. Not on my main, just on the lower level characters as they’re more forgiving of flub ups and have fewer buttons that need binding.

Looking at the speedpad, it’s got a thumb joystick that I imagine can be modified like the thumb stick on my G13.

When using the keypad, I steer with the thumb stick and the mouse – the thumb stick is bound to forward/back/strafe. And I keep the Logitech profiler software popped up in a window so I can change bindings/doublecheck what I have bound to what. So far, I like the keypad – it’s very comfortable for me to use, ergonomically wise, and I can organize my bars onscreen differently from how they’re plunked onto the keypad. I don’t have everything bound yet, though, just the basic stuff + attacks.

OH NO YOU DIDN’T!!!

My pally just learned the secret “Spank” talent…and she’s determined to use it on naughty little ninja rogues…

Ooh, normally I have to pay extra for that.

I need to collect some mats for enchanting my gear (about 5 pieces). My pally will pick up lvl 70-80 gear and send it to my bank alt (aptly named “Bankofyeti”) and when I got a good dozen or so items, would it be alright to mail them to you so you can DE them? Mail them back to my bank alt (or Yeticalayla) and when I have the right amount of mats, can you please enchant them whenever we meet up in Dalaran? Some enchants are gonna be somewhat easy, others might take a while, but I see that I need to at least make an attempt at maxing out my stats. Just tell me if I am missing something in this thought process.

As for Blacksmithing, anyone leveling up (including the new guildies); just let me know if you need a link to see what I can make for you. I do have a ton of Saronite, lots of adamantite…that stuff is readily available for BS stuff for you. With a few other purchases or quick collecting of lower level mats, I can make lower level gear, but it takes a little more time. Just hit me up if you see me online or mail me online.

Sure, I’ve done this for plenty of our guildies. We have other enchanters who can do the same but I foget who they are, Muzungu maybe?

Ya. Not sure if we have any other max-level enchanters right now.

I can’t wait (can’t. wait.) until they add in the functionality to search your guildies’ professions. Sooooo tedious to have to wait for someone to be online so you can ask if they have a recipe, instead of just being able to search for a recipe and then see who in the guild has it.

It’s a complimentary service of the Burning Spank Legion…

Our priests don’t seem to have problems. When you don’t have to worry about standing in fires, you can literally just stare at your grid screen and click on folks. It is a lot easier to identify buffs on a grid raidframe than identify names, at least for me.

She has been bowing out of the HTOC 10s. When the guild is ready for HTOC 25, she will jump in because you have enough healers that you can have a healer focus almost exclusively on the tanks but for now, she is jsut doing the regulart 10 and 25 TOCs. I think she has now downloaded clique but has not set it up yet.

Well I would bet that the blizzrd UI doesn’t have nearly the functionality or versatility of Questhelper. After Blizzard came out with a wardrobe function people kept using Outfitter and outfitter has actually integrated itself into the new UI.

Sorry, guys, I’m pulling my Hunter out of BDL and making <Burning Spank Legion>.

It’s a case of YMMV, I guess. On last night’s run, the Priest doing Levitate actually said he didn’t need it called out. I say, “Meh.”

Yup, I still use Outfitter. I’m just used to its quirks and features. Plus, AFAIK the Blizzard manager doesn’t make a separate bar–you’d have to use up action bar slots if you wanted buttons you could easily click.

Yep. I use the in-game feature, since I only really have 2-3 outfits per character anyway, and they can go sit over on the right edge of the screen with my trade skills and hearths.

Three enchanters at 450: Kene, Muzungu and Kruler.
Next in line: Koane at 360.

Haven’t seen much of Kruler or Koane lately…but maybe it’s the hours that I play.

We usually either make people bind it during the raid or if noone else needs it we put it in the “deposit only” guild tab and auction it off for DKP on our website to folks who might not have been able to attend the raid and must bind it immediately. If we don’t get enough interest we put it on the AH (we have an officer in guild that seems to live on the AH and he handles all the guild transactions, he’s older and totally trustworthy and his grandson is in the guild).

Yeah, that totally wouldn’t work for me. Just on the bar, I have five tanking sets, my DPS set, and my Naked button (for quick mashing when I accidentally dismount myself midair). No way could I find that much room on my other action bars.

Yeah, Kruler (aka Long Time Lurker) posted in the other BDL thread that he’s taking a break. He hasn’t been on in a couple of months.

I use in the in-game one now too.

Now if we could only get them to add a “gear bag” or “gear locker” feature where we didn’t have to use up so much bag space carrying different gear sets.
