World of Warcraft General Discussion

It’s called a wall and a can of paint. I’ve always liked the fact that you can find random boulders in Mulgore with three fingered Tauren petroglyphs. But come Cata, we’ll have the goblins! Bigger explosions over gnomish ingenuity, I say.

Who has can’s of spraypaint? Sure, goblins probably have paint-grenades, but that’s more “splatter” and less “neat printed posters”

Here’s a not-so-random question…

I have noticed repeatedly that the Horde seems to have one extra good quest whenever Horde and Alliance have quests into the same subsection, mostly instances. Is that just me? It seems like the designers have been handing a lot of goodies, including most of the game’s best racials, to the Horde.

Goblin Name Generator. My Fave?

Arsemurder

Believe it or not, I’d never heard that song, aside from one line sung by another kid way back in junior high school (“I’m a lumberjack and I’m okay…”), so I went ahead and looked it up on YouTube just now. I don’t think it would work as well with a female character singing it :stuck_out_tongue:

I wondered why that stuff dropped so much!

w00t!

I might go that route. I did wear the Furious Gladiator’s DPS pants for a while when I first started running heroics, simply because I’d been wearing those Wyrmrest rep pants forever, and they were tank pants, and so I figured PvP DPS pants were better than PvE tank pants for my purposes.

Rab Dreadarse

Wait, what? What tank pants? The only rep pants you can get from the Wyrmrest Accord are the Legplates of Bloody Reprisal, and those are for dps. Granted ArP might not be a great dps stat for Paladins, but they are not tank pants.

:smack: You are correct. I was remembering wrong. In reality, I wore the Furious Gladiator’s Scaled Legplates to replace the Legplates of Bloody Reprisal because even being PvP pants, the jump from iLvl 200 to iLvl 232 was a huge upgrade and I wasn’t finding any other options outside of Heroics, other than 15,000g crafted iLvl 245 pants.

I guess I was thinking “tank pants” because SFG said (many, many pages back) that she wore those pants for a long time on her tank.

Okay, so I took da Wolk over to see Heather. (Guess he needed some horny-relief or something:rolleyes:)).

But when we left and took a look at where we could fly, up in the right-hand corner was “Sunreach Harbor”.

Huh?

Where’d that one come from, and why do I have a flight path there, y’all?

So we flew there, me and da Wolk and we found ourselves a couple of quests, but ya know what???

The easiest one had us travelling back to Hellfire Pensinula on some insect-lookin’ thing and it took us all of 15 minutes to get there, Godammit!

So now I have to see this lady in HP when I didn’t even know that that “Isle of Quel Danas” quest even existed?

How in der Werld ficked up is that, Mensch?

Thanks
Q

Sorry! Heather’s name needed bolding and I forgot.

Heather

There. All fixed.

Q

AHAHAHA! Who wants to see me die?

1.) Go to the WoW Insider article WoW Rookie: 10 Ways to Meet Other New Players.

2.) Scroll to #8, “Recruit a friend.”

3.) Watch the video.

Yes, that’s my pocket healer, taking me for a ride on his new rocket… with a not-so-happy ending.

Grats! I remember that being a royal pain for Alliance folks, too–and I forgot about the Troll faction leader, too.

It goes back and forth. Some things are skewed more towards Alliance, some more towards Horde. They’ve gotten more even over time. Personally, I think that if anything, Horde has a teensy bit more benefits than Alliance (at least for the characters I’ve played), but that could be my own bias showing.

Actually, it was the blue Wyrmrest rep chest. Which I wore for about five years before finally getting my T7 chest.

QD is an old quest hub from late TBC. No real need for you to go there now. (It’s also the location of the five-man instance Magister’s Terrance and the Sunwell raid.)

Grats on the achievement. Now I feel like I need to go back and finish my exploring in Azeroth to catch up to you…

Could be. Blizzard tried to itemize so that it would be a real choice between getting the tier gear or the offset pieces. I really like the feral druid 4T10 bonus. It’s pretty revolutionary IMO. So I’m getting the set. But you have to give up stats to do so. The trick is to figure out which nontier piece gives you the best option. For me I had the Bladeborn Leggings crafted and am gonna wear those along with the set.

Low-light of last night: with my hunter (BDL: Makig) coming in #4 on damage done in Razorfen Kraul, after the Warrior tank. Sigh. I’m pretty certain that I was number two on healing done thanks to mend pet, but nobody brought that up :).

Ha!

Anyone want to take bets on how long it’ll be before they hotfix that so the passenger gets a parachute?

Eh. Tanks end up pretty high on the DPS board a lot in the lower levels.

That’s right, hdc. I’ve mostly seen it with pally tanks, but even warrior/druid tanks can put out competitive dps at that level. Were you using a Ferocity pet? And… that’s just about the sum total of my Hunter advice.

Bahaa! So that’s how your guildies make their decisions on <Robot Death Panel>! Genius!

I noticed that myself, recently. My main is the only one of my toons to have even set foot on that island up there, yet suddenly all my toons have a flight path straight to it - even my lowest-level toons.

You shouldn’t be needing to Mend Pet. Are you turning Growl off? If you are and are still getting aggro, then you need to wait a bit more so you don’t take pet-aggro. I also notice you have spread out your talents. I prefer and I think it’s pretty standard to stick to one spec. Always get the highest tier talent available. So put 5 in tier 1 and then get a tier 2.
I liked leveling Beast Mastery, but I’ve heard good things about Survival too.

I disagree with this, I do have to hit Mend Pet on occasion – not all healers will drop a heal on my pet since they’re at the very end of the heal priority list if at all. If the pet still drops faster than the mends are ticking, I’ll call them back so they get a breather before sending them back in.

Definitely make sure that Growl is off, and turn off Thunderclap (iirc all tenacity pets now have Tclap) as well – both will pull aggro off the tank.

IMO, I’d drop the Glyph of Mending for Glyph of the Hawk as this will increase your dps. The minor Mend Pet is excellent to have though, cuts down on the FEED ME NAO faces.
