Whats the name of the big as elite dino? That fucker came out of nowhere last night when I was fighting a regular dinosaur. I even thought ***“Where the hell did Godzilla’s little brother come from!?”. ***I dropped an ice trap and ran like hell (can’t summon a mount while in combat…which sucks…that lousy gnome mage ran from me last night after trying to gank me and summoned a freakin’ mount when he was a fair distance away, while my mount toggle was still greyed out! )

Seriously he was like a ninja. The damn dino must be 50 feet tall, but he came out of the blue and took me totally be surprise.

“Track Hidden” boosts your stealth detection, but you will only see red dots for things that you have detected but are still stealthed. It helps a little, but not much.

One thing that I found was nice for questing in STV as a hunter is to tame one of the nearby gorillas if you can. They’re great tanks, and have an AOE effect that really helps them hold aggro on groups. Send them in to gather up 2 or 3 or (if you’re brave) 4 mobs and tap each after the pet has built up some threat. With judicious use of volley and multi-shot, you can tap the crowd and let the gorilla do the work. If you pull aggro on one of them, freeze it. If you pull aggro on two of them, Feign Death. If you don’t have FD (it’s a level 30 skill, you should have it) go train it.

I thought about that, but it would mean stabling my tiger and going out without a pet in Gank Central to tame one.

Track hidden is useless IMO. I tried to use it to detect rogues that were stealthing up to me but it never works until its too late. If I see a guy stealthing I just hunter’s mark him or leave the area. I use track humanoids to detect alliance players if I think there may be some around.

I went back there when my mage took up mining at level 70 and really enjoyed hunting those things down and killing them. Sweet, sweet revenge.

King Mosh. I remember watching him take down two level ??s (opposing faction) back when I was level 48 or 49. I’d like to meet up with him now, though!

I like this one:

I took a screenshot of that guy, just because my last name is Osborne

And I can’t believe I didn’t pick up on this one:

… especially since the guy I’m named after was a descendant of the famous Hatfields :smack:

I personally really like Norman (the innkeeper in Undercity) and Bates (the innkeeper in (I think) the Sepulcher).

Use the best method to avoid ganking then: wake up at 4:30am and tame that monkey!

The thing that really annoyed me about Hunters being able to train these devilsaurs is that people were saying that they make a very satisfying stomping noise as they walk around. No!!! WRONG! They’re freakin’ NINJASAURS. I want them to be silent like the grave so they can sneak up on people, just like they snuck up on ME.

There should be an achievement for that called “Blizzard’s Bitch.”

My fave is probably the Merchant Coast. I wonder how many people even realize it’s a reference?

That reminds me. I need to take my level 80 toon back to Hellfire Peninsula and say hello to the Fel Reavers there.

Hmmm. I wonder if an 80 caster will be able to solo them. I’m only up to 74 now, so I haven’t tried.

Oops! Patch Day! Be prepared for a download when you get home.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for 3.0.8 for weeks!

Mining is going to be changed to be more like Herbalism and Skinning, where a single action will net you all the ore, stone, and gems available in a vein. That’s going to make mining so much less of a pain.

Plus they’re removing the racial restrictions on mounts. You can now ride any mount that your faction allows.

Yep. Tempted to go for Exalted with the Gnomes so my big ol’ Draenei can flatten a mechanostrider. The Tauren are gonna be hilarious on the Horde mounts.

I did this with my 80 Death Knight. Hadn’t really intended to–I was in HFP gathering Fel Iron for my Engineering ROFLcopter. But it was there, it was breathing my air, and after all the times it had stepped on my various characters…it needed some payback. It took me a little while, but it was never really a contest. It was quite satisfying to see it all laid out dead and know I did it!

As someone on the WoW LJ community just posted, “It’ll be like a giant hamburger riding a giant turkey!”

Just a couple of days ago, I made a jump of off the top of Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring and got the 65 yard fall achievement there with my 69 Ret. Pally, with 7240 hp starting and ended up with 72 left. I was a little surprised that 65 yards didn’t seem so much…and I tried to jump off much higher cliffs only to die.
