World's Oldest Sperm Discovered

And it’s BIG. In Australia, where every thing is bigger.

Shrimp sperm became perfectly preserved 17 million years ago. The shrimp, called ostracods, were only one millimeter long, but their sperm stretches an impressive 10mm.

You have to love any news story that features the words “ancient sex with gargantuan sperm.”

A little disgusting, extremely fascinating.

You’ve discovered giant shrimp-sperm where? Are you batshit insane?!

This discovery has been a long time coming.

You know what’s older the 17 million year old sperm?

The PreCumbrian

Someone should check the DNA. They’re probably related to Peter North.

At least they died happy. Going out with a bang, so to speak.

I thought for sure this was going to be about Mr. Namuntka down in 4C.

Awesome bukkake parties back in the day, I guess.

While this may be the oldest fossil sperm found, sperm first developed more than 500 million years ago. Even ostracods go back around to 485 million years ago.

If you’re interested, I can also tell you where the world’s newest sperm was just lost.

Wait, how can the sperm be 10x bigger than the host?

These apparently were Onanacods.

golf clap

You mean they weren’t found in the world’s oldest sock?

10x longer - most of the sperm’s length is in its tail, which is coiled inside the host’s body.

Socks aren’t allowed here.

Again … Bukkake Party!

Definitely not interested.

I think I can tell you that as of this moment.

There’s gotta be a gay marriage and bestiality joke in there somewhere.

I was hoping someone would reference Joan Rivers.
