As a long-time Worms player, I was really excited about Worms Reloaded, which has just been released on Steam. But I won’t be buying it. The demo keeps crashing randomly during the training missions. And you can only have a maximum of 4 worms, rather than the 8 of Worms Armageddon. Having 8 worms allows you to recover from a well-placed Banana Bomb or other super-weapon; 4 is iffy.
More criticism here.
Oooh, I haven’t played Worms Armageddon in years. I wonder if I can still find the disc stored away somewhere?
I’m not a fan of the series but I did notice that the Metacritic score for Reloaded is a respectable 81. Cheap for a new release, too.
I find it difficult to believe that the professional reviewers have actually played the game - or tried to.
Worms 2 was maybe the greatest game ever. I was as addicted to that as I was to Civ 3, Diablo 2, and WoW.

I used to love Worms 3d on the ps(2 maybe?). Yea, I was the guy. I loved worms for a long time, and the 3d one, while terrible in a lot of ways, was possibly the greatest game to play during a night of heavy drinking with your house mates. We played risk sometimes, too, but with worms 3d we were all still on speaking terms the next morning.
Disappointing to hear that reloaded isn’t everything armageddon was and then some
