I agree wholeheartedly! I once tried a Taco Bell “Waffle Taco”. It was absolutely awful. For the more fortunate of us who have not tried it, it is a breakfast sandwich of sausage and eggs wedged into the crevice of a folded waffle, then topped off with maple syrup.
Hey, I remember those! I think I bought some once, thought they were okay, and then they disappeared before I ever had another chance to buy them. They were indeed real.
The Dijon bacon burger was a great way to be disappointed for $7. I would have rather just bought a Big Mac.
Speaking of the $7, McD’s was supposedly running some promotion where their Signature sandwiches came with a free medium drink and fries. But they charged me for mine; something I didn’t notice (it was a sizable order) until later. I think the sandwich itself is closer to $4 but they not only gave me a lousy sandwich but fleeced me for another couple bucks at the same time.
My sister used to be an assistant manager at McD’s during the late shifts at that time. Each morning I’d wake up and find 2-3 pizzas in the fridge; stuff unsold from the previous evening. I remember it being pretty okay, but I was also a 15 year old eating free pizza so my standards weren’t exactly high.
Pizza Hut putting mustard on pizza. It overwhelmed every other flavor including the jalapenos and was basically like eating big ol’ spoonfuls of yellow mustard.
