Worst microwaved food?

What is the food that comes out the worst when you cook it (or reheat it) in the microwave?
I gotta vote for french fries. Tried heating 'em up a couple times and they tasted like ass. Just about any potato product is bad when microwaved, come to think of it.
And those pizzas with the little cardboard “hot plate” devices usually taste pretty rank, too.

This just struck me as a bizarre comparison.

Do you think there could be a niche market for this? “Ore-Ida Shredded Ass?”

Mozzarella sticks. Just plain gross. They were slimy on one side and dried out on the other. yuck :eek:

Cal, you card. It’s just a regionalism, I guess - you can say “that tastes like ass” or “it smells like ass” or “I feel like ass today” (meaning you don’t feel well, not that you wanna get laid).
I’d probably buy some Ore-Ida Shredded Ass", though, just to sell on E-Bay when it was banned by the FDA.

Microwaves do vile things to potatoes. The Arby’s where I used to eat all the time went from keeping their potatoes in the oven with the beef to cooking them fully in the oven, then putting them in the cooler and microwaving at the time of the order. I took one taste, complained, was told that this was the new policy, and never bought a baked potato from them again.

Bleh.

I don’t like any kind of bread in the microwave, either.

Scrambled eggs are horrible and boring.

I don’t like pizza re-heated just too funky tasting.
Bread can be OK if you first wrap it in a slightly damp paper towel before re-heating.
really Don’t like cooking meat in the microwave, comes out too tough.
I do love chinese food re-heated. Much quicker and easier than trying to do it on the stove.

Cooking in the microwave? Microwaves exist only for popcorn, thawing meat, melting butter, and re-heating some food items.

To my knowledge the only food which is IMPROVED by microwave cooking is fresh corn.

Husk the outer leaves and microwave for six minutes, or until you can smell it. Cover with a dish towel and let rest for five more minutes, and serve.

I once was subjected to meatloaf cooked in the microwave. The horror!!

I second the pizza. For some odd reason, mine always comes out with the nearly appetizing taste and consistency od cardboard.

I find that masking tape tastes really funny after it’s been in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Walking through Sam’s last week, I saw Microwavable Pork Rinds. Didn’t try 'em, but just the thought creeped me out.
