Just what does he have against ramps? He seems hellbent on ramp denial, and says all Epytologists are wrong. He’s like the Time Cube guy who thinks there’s four corners on a globe.
Well, to be fair we do speak of the “four corners of the earth.” I can see the possible confusion.
It IS pretty time-cubey.
And of course it was made with ramps, that’s why “pyramids” is an anagram of “DIY ramps.” Duh.

That’s a good point. There are usually good responses when an outlandish theory is proposed so in a way it is useful that the topic was discussed. However, the thread in question became difficult to keep up with as the poster went on at great length without getting to clear evidence. I probably could have read a real book about how the pyramids were built in the time spent on that thread.
I think it is destiny that someday a jug band will owe its name to cladking.
Ramp denial and global warming denial are obviously connected in some nefarious way. Notice that the same people who believe Egyptologists about the ramps also believe climate scientists about global warming. It’s no coincidence, and it’s insidious. We’ve had a number of eminent self-taught authorities here expostulating on these subjects, raising the ire and fear of the scientific establishment. These ruthless scientists will stop at nothing to protect their secrets, and have clearly been pressuring the mods to bring the hammer down.

Ramp denial and climate change denial really do go hand in hand. Simply stated “skeptical” meant something entirely different when I was a boy. It didn’t mean to blindly accept everything we were told but rather it meant exactly the opposite. It meant to think for oneself and check other peoples’ conclusions. I am “skeptical” even of my own beliefs and assumptions

Are you renouncing your ramp denial then? That’s some progress! Good on you, mon! You should come back and tell us how you moved from denial of ramps (not just a river in Egypt, amiright??) to your current stance.

The exact smell of the feet of the average Egyptian during the old kingdom period, I’d guess. Though perhaps he’s turned over a new leaf, since it seems his ramp denial days are behind him…
