Worst sex scene of all time (R rated movies)

Well, if you’ll only take the time to subscribe to my newsletter Intriguing Ideas you’ll be kept fully up to date with all the Marisa Tomei nakedness news as it happens.

Sign me up…you can send it straight to my bunk.

How about the sex scene inPrivate Lessons? A 15 year old kid and a middle aged woman? Granted. when I was a mid teen I wished I was that kid, but still…

Charlotte Rampling and the yard guy in Swimming Pool was quite odd.

Monica Bellucci getting raped in Irreversible is one of the more disturbing scenes I’ve ever watched.

You can pretty much pick any scene that involves James Spader and you’ll have a winner. Secretary with Maggie Gyllenhall comes to mind first when he makes her bend over the desk and then jerks off on her back. And of course the scene in Crash with the leg wound.

And as for the OP, I know that PSH is kind of scuzzy looking but he is phenomenal in everything he does. I loved Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead and one of my favorite performances from him of all time is Boogie Nights, a lot of that because he is so damn skeezy. I try to see everything he is in, he is one of the best.

Lilja 4-Ever has got to be up there, somewhere. “Uncomfortable” is the descriptive word for the entire goddamn movie.

I take issue with including a rape scene, and very specifically that rape scene, which is easily the most horrific rape ever put on celluloid, as a “sex scene”. It is not. It is a scene of sickening violence. That genitals are involved doesn’t make it a sex scene.

“Secretary” is one of the greatest, truest love stories ever. Wonderful movie.

And you and I are side by side the whole way on PSH and Boogie Nights, which is one of my favorite films of all time, I’ve probably seen it a dozen times, own the deluxe DVD, watched every extra, and it made me love Hoffman forever. “I’m an idiot! An idiot!” I was blown away by how perfectly he played that.

And of course, the initial meeting between O’Reilly and Wahlberg is perfection. It is the beginning of one of film’s greatest Bromances.

Sharon Stone going down on Joe Pesci in Casino

FTR, I have no problem with PSH the person. He’s a very good actor and I’ve seen most of his stuff. He just skeeves me, but my dislike of him is from mostly the characters he plays, not his lack of talent.

But when he was defiling my beautiful Marisa right in front of me, I though I needed a frontal lobotomy.

This sums it up nicely.

Give this man a cigar!

oh, and I wanted to thank some of you for bringing back memories I had clearly buried into the dark recesses of my mind. But I asked for it.

That’s not how I remember it.

I don’t think he was murdering her in that scene. That was during the Voodoo ceremony outside of New Orleans, wasn’t it? Later she’s come back to his hotel room in the French Quarter. He leaves her in bed, still alive, and goes off to do various things including meet with Mr. L. Cyphre, and when he comes back she’s dead, either by Harry during one of his “blackouts,” or by Cyphre himself to frame Harry. Or am I misremembering the sequence of events…?

Others had included rape scenes so I did as well. I agree that the intent of the thread probably didn’t call for scenes like this, but we certainly agree that it could possibly be the worst scene ever filmed. The director of that film, Gasper Noe, set out to make the viewer feel uncomfortable, and that scene was the pinnacle of the dark side of film art. He continues to blur the line between sexuality and art in film, and while it is relevant in that sense he is, in my view, a sick fella.

I love the movie Secretary. I love anything James Spader does and am a huge fan of Boston Legal. I probably shouldn’t have included that scene, although it is a scene that while somewhat relevant is particularly odd. But you are right, Secretary is just spectacular.

“I’m an idiot!” scene is exactly what I was talking about. That is pure genius.

I agree. It was a pitch perfect performance all the way through.

Worst sex scenes you can currently see in a theater: Revolutionary Road

There are three really awful sex scenes - perfunctory, unsatisfying (for at least one of the partners) and emotionally void. It didn’t help that I hated the two lead characters and was silently hoping the film would be resolved with a murder/suicide. It embodied everything I loath about modern fiction.

Dear lord I was talking about this movie today. I think my boyfriend and I were the only two people alive who saw that movie and that was years before either of us met.

Crystal in the brain, anyone?

PSH looked a lot better than I expected him to. Which isn’t saying much. He had no rhythm, though. Ugly and bad in the sack? Throw his ass out.

No sex since it was an ABC show, but there were a lot of steamy before-sex and after-sex scenes with James Spader in Boston Legal that were pretty hot.

He’s an actor. Pretending to have sex under hot lights in a room full of cameras, photogs, extras, agents, and bossy asshats. He probably enjoyed it less if he’s straight, since not quite having sex with Marisa Tomei is a horrible feeling for a straight guy, no?

Actually, I think the reason that they’re so carefully rehearsed is specifically to avoid any inadvertent pain in the ass.

I’m pretty sure why you put that disqualifier in the first sentence, but I don’t think it was necessary. I hope our gay board members wouldn’t think that was the reason that scene was disgusting. I think if Ned Beatty was replaced by Pam Anderson, it would have been just as disgusting of a scene.

And actually, I found the arrow through his chest somewhat redeeming.

You have my deepest sympathies. :: shudder ::

Twister.

That wasn’t his fault. He did the best with what he was given.

I can see excluding rape scenes from this discussion, but what about scenes that are intentionally bad? Like, say, Team America: World Police?
