I got an email from an anonymous person from this site:
http://word-of-mouth.org/Default.asp
Has anybody dealt with this bunch?
A quick glance reveals you can post good or bad “reports” on a person or website with total anonymity. Free Reports are read by viewers - but you can’t email/respond to originating party without paying a $19.95 1-year fee or $29.95 2-year fee.
I hope somebody out there has some input - Thanks
"The mission of this website is to help our users to research the people they know and meet toward learning something about their background and character. If you have had experience with and/or have opinions about someone then please take the time to submit an “Identification Report” at this website. Users will then be able to search for, find, and review this “Identification Report” and then contact you through our Anonymous Email System to learn the experiences that you have had and/or opinions you have regarding the report subject. Report authors are totally and completely anonymous. By submitting reports, you will help others to make informed decisions about people they meet and know. Thank you.
ATTENTION! - REPORTS AT THIS WEBSITE ARE NOT NEGATIVE IN ANY WAY
Word-of-Mouth.Org is an anonymous meeting place where users anonymously share their experiences and opinions regarding people they know.
The purpose of this site is to spread the valuable information source known as “word-of-mouth” on a level never before known in the history of mankind, as a result helping the people of our world to make better decisions about the people they meet and know, in turn making our world a better place for us all.
For those who are unclear on the concept of “word-of-mouth”, it simply refers to the process in which people share their experiences and opinions regarding a person or persons with people they know. For example, lets say you have just met a person named “John”, but you do not know anything about him. If other people tell you that he is “nice” or “honest”, for example, then it is likely that this is true, and so on and so forth. This process works well, but the problem is that it is limited to “the people you know”. What if John is new to town or you have moved to a new city, and as a result you don’t know people who know him and can share their thoughts and opinions?"
