Would it bother you to have sex with someone whose mind, but not body, is not the sex you prefer?

It would bother me to have sex with ANYONE who had a brain transplant.

It wouldn’t bother me at all. Some people are more profound with their sexuality, but for me it’s all about the boobs.

If the guy’s body was smoking hot I’d just say to him, “Dude, we gotta try this thing out. Bend over, shut up, let me have at it and then no matter what your hormones try to do to you DO NOT discuss your feelings about me.”

One thing I’d want to know though is since the brain got to wear two different sexes like a hat - Was The orgasm better in male mode or female mode?

I’m bi, so it wouldn’t matter in the slightest. Even if I weren’t, what’s the difference? The body is what’s being focused on in sex, and if the person enjoys what I’m doing, it’s all good.

I’m a het male, and it wouldn’t bother me at all.

I didn’t like it in Ghost - it creeped me out - and I don’t think I’d ever like it, not even with the voluntary cooperation of the host body. So no.

It would bother me. I don’t think of sex as being just with a body, it’s with the person - the body is just a conduit.

[hetero male]

There’s a creep factor there that seems like no matter the hotness of the body, it’d be a turn of (or more of a recoiling libido?), so I’m thinkin’ “no”.

After 5 or 6 beers, though… you never know.

Pan/bi female, and I find this idea very intriguing…but then gender is not a factor for me in deciding attractiveness at all.
The main concerns for me would be to make sure that they’re not suffering any emotional/mental trauma from the switch, and that they are able to give full consent.
Is the body on “loan”, or is it permanent?
In the former case I’d want to make sure that the landlord consciousness didn’t object to the tenant consciousness using the body in a way that would violate the terms of the lease.
But if the original owner has given up all claim on the body then the issue would be moot.

I think it’s interesting that the answers here are all over the place, and don’t really seem to correspond to gender or orientation.

It does sort of reveal what one thinks of sex though, whether one views it as a mechanical function of the body or as a connection with a person.

If I may float another hypothetical: Suppose you absolutely love your partner, everything about him or her, including but not limited to his or her smokin’ hot bod. His or her brain is switched with someone (same gender) who doesn’t look too pleasant and is a complete asshole.

Which one would you rather have sex with?

tdn, I had a similar thought and started a new thread

Ah, thanks. The way you phrased it, though, I really don’t know which I’d choose.

As long as they can fake being a woman, I don’t care. If I didn’t know them, I’d only be attracted to their body anyway

I don’t get the question, I guess. If I were attracted to the body and attracted to the mind, I would do it.

Why does it matter what gender the mind is? Can a mind even have a ‘gender?’

I don’t think this is fighting the hypothetical, but it might be:

Occasionally I’ll read about people who feel like they are trapped in a body of the wrong gender. A physical male who mentally feels female. A female who strongly feels male. The OP is sorta asking if I would have sex with such a person, but also allows the interpretation that the body has a gay mind (A gay male mind in a female body, or a gay female mind in a male body.)

Anyway, in the first case (person has the wrong body and feels unhappy about it) they probably would not want to have sex with me, so my feelings would be largely irrelevant. (Altho, FWIW, I’m male and don’t hit on lesbians, so I’m guessing I wouldn’t hit on such a person.)

In the second case, a gay male mind in a female body… that would be fine.

It would bother me somewhat, I think. I actually think I would prefer to have sex with someone who had the “right” gender mind and “wrong” gender body. I’m pretty much a straight female, but find women’s bodies attractive and fun, yet I like to be the only woman in a bed, for some reason. Keeping mystique or something, I think.

huh? are you talking about the trans-rendered?

Read the first post, and not just the thread title.

I think it would be ideal. There have been a number of male friends of mine who we’ve joked that we would have the ideal marriage if only we were sexually attracted to each other.

It wouldn’t bother me at all. I’m exclusively attracted to the male body, but I have no problem with women’s minds.
