Yeah . . . and she always got jealous and he always failed to get the hint. IIRC.
In my pre-adolesent imagination she did! Oh yeah, she did.
POW, right in the kisser!
You just gave a whole new world of meaning to that term in my mind…damn you…
Thank Family Guy.
Can we await “I Dream of Jeannie” The Lost Episodes on DVD?
Colonel Nelson slams Jeannie like a storm door, along with “Oh, Master! Do me harder!”
what made the OP even think of this?
but he wouldn’t have to ask twice, that’s for sure - she was trying to get with him from day one.
also, since, for the most part, only Tony and Roger ever saw her in the house, until the engagement, the neighbors wouldn’t have known about it.
As for him being such “a good guy; being with a woman who could not refuse him felt too much like rape.” - that’s putting way too much thought into it. He never asked, because he never thought of her that way, clueless bugger that he was.
If he didn’t think of her that way, I guarantee it wouldn’t be because he was clueless.
Well, you know, he spent an AWFUL lot of time alone in those capsules with Major Healey…and Healey’s girl-craziness is SO obviously overcompensation…
Was it ever in doubt that she wanted to hit that but Major Nelson’s oversized sense of, um, stupidness prevented him? Really, how can you turn this down?

Biggirl – if the text was important, it was too small to read. (I got a thumbnail size pic.)
Nah, the important part was the boobie.
The text was something about the historical background of the photo. "We call them “^(&()**()()&s” now, but in . . . "
Of course, he could’ve simply wished she were a guy!
I’d like to add: Only on the Dope can you show people Barbara Eden’s boob and the only thing anybody wants to talk about are the words beside the picture. That’s why I love this place.
If I recall, in the pilot episode, Major Nelson is briefly castaway on a small island after splashing down in his capsule. (What NASA is doing with a one-man Mercury-type mission in 1965, I couldn’t say.) He finds Jeannie’s bottle, etc., and is soon rescued.
He thinks he’s seen the last of Jeannie, but she shows up in his apartment. I think she had just taken a shower; in any case she was wearing nothing but one of his shirts. (Let me just dwell on that in my mind for a moment.) He’s very flustered and says, “Take that off!” She seems happy at this suggestion and eagerly begins unbuttoning – but he stops her.
I was maybe eight when I saw that, and remember feeling a keen sense of disappointment. What was wrong with the man?
Anyway, in regards to the OP, based on that scene I think Jeannie would have assumed the position happily and displayed an excellent attitude about it.
Her boob? :dubious:
I don’t see Colonel Nelson in that picture.
Sure enough, here comes a movie remake. Jesus, will this fad ever end? It so seldom produces anything good.
Well, I wasn’t paying any attention to the words – I just wished the picture was bigger. Thanks for posting that Biggirl – I have a feeling your husband is a lucky man.
Oh, my good lord! Jimmy Fallon as Major Nelson?!
