We’ve all ( or , some of us…have ) had threads closed for one reason or another. A big rule of the road is that Mods make judgement calls and Dopers are allowed to disagree. In The Pit.

Instead of pretending you guys care about each and every thread you block or edit, you just have to grow some balls and issue a sticky notice that says: “The mods do their best. It’s not going to be perfect. Same as umpires and referees, they make judgment calls and their judgment is not perfect. Some calls will be wrong. Accept it and move on. We will not acknowledge nor look into complaints. This isn’t the Congressional Record. We make a call and that’s that. Requests for explanations will be locked with no explanation. Sticky notes explain themselves, whether anyone bothers to read them or not, so we don’t have to repeat them.”
