You’re right. It’s a wheelhouse devoid of melody or music. A completely different form of entertainment. It’s sad that it’s often filled with misogyny and the “N” word. For reasons unknown the rapping industry seems to spawn violence from within it’s ranks. I don’t see the value it adds to a national passtime.
There is a complete disconnect between watching a sporting event and a once-a-year block of 13 mins for entertainment.
As for people who wouldn’t give up watching the Super Bowl they can and will turn off the half time show and the ads that follow it.
I turned if off when I saw someone standing on a Grand National. I can only imagine what was done to the car.
