Would UK Dopers like to stand up and be counted?

Born and raised in the UK, but I’ve lived in the US since 1996 and have no plans to leave. Do I count?

Can I sit down and be counted?

Try saying “one, two, three”, and you’ll find out.

'Nother Brit (Scottish) doper here.

Kiwi living in the UK here.

Yup, and I’ve often drawn attention to the fact.

Brit living in France, if we count…

I think that what I’m really looking for is for people who have an interest in, and active knowledge of life in the UK - enough to engage in discussions about it.

I’m Scottish, living near Glasgow.

Born in England but only as the result of a transmigratory error during the most recent soul re-allocation. I regard America as my most natural home, and if asked where I live I tend to say ‘the world’, because it’s as true as limitations of time and budget can make it.

English, born here, still here - emigration still 3 years away.

I also like the US-centric nature of this place, most of the time. I’ve learnt more in my (god, is it really) 10 years here about the US people than I think I could have done any other way.

Well, you could have moved to the US.

English here, living in Edinburgh.

smarty pants :stuck_out_tongue:

ok… than almost any other way!

Another UK’er here, but of course it’s far more important to be English!

A long time lurker and brit here.

Another one

I’m not British but I’m currently in Scotland.

I have to admit that I too am British. Although I was born in Scotland ;).

English and in Oxford. Anyone else nearby?
