Would you accept a $250 Mil jackpot if it came with a mandatory sex change?

Naw. People are dying because they can’t be the gender they don’t want to be. I couldn’t trivialize it with a payout like this. Even if I donated it all to their cause.

I’m happy with my gender but not unwilling to change it, presuming I get to choose the surgeon or magician.

With that sum of money, I could live exceptionally comfortably, and still have enough money to support charities that are important to me.

I’m a straight man, and while I’ve never really had any consideration that I might want to be a woman, I freely admit that I’ve always been curious.

Given the specifics of the hypothetical: sure, I’d do it.

What really (pleasantly) surprises me is that lack of inquiry as to penis or breast size.

I would insist on beautiful labia.

Oh, I understand, I just meant that since I think it would be kind of cool to be male, I’d be willing to do it permanently for $250 million.

I voted yes upon my minute long deep introspection. However, I do know that I would give my wife absolute veto power if she didn’t want me to do it.

I’d be a scary looking woman. Think of the children!

So, I’d have to pass.

How much for just a set of a breasts though?

Why would you no longer be a dude?

I would be a terrible woman, so I think I’ll just stay a poor man.

Ewwww. Fuck to the no.

But the OP didn’t say hormones were a part of the deal. I’m taking a literal interpretation of his hypothetical.

All things being fair, For that to happen I would have to insist that you currently possess a beautiful penis…verified by an independent judge and six witnesses.

shrug So am I - I’m bringing what I know of gender reassignment to the question.

Anyway - whatever answer you feel suits, knock your socks off. Or anything else. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think Tranquilis is correct-“You can’t have one without the…oooooother”

ooooh-kay.
That was officially creepy.

Ah OK, sorry I misunderstood you

And thinking about this further a person could do a lot of good in the world, for their family, friends and others with that amount of money even if they weren’t personally comfortable in their new form, so I may do it for that reason alone.

Although I’m still a little confused by exactly what the OP is suggesting, I’m pretty small and slightly built so I don’t think that would transfer very well, and if its just the state of the art of modern abilities I don’t think its possible to have children either.

Depends on how much I feel like self-sacrificing in that case.

Gender dysmorphia seems to require at least two ingredients: being born in the wrong body, and having a strong sense of gender identity. It seems from this thread alone that there’s wide variation in the latter; some are really tied to being a dude/girl, while others don’t really care that much.

I’d go for it. I’ve lived the first half my life as a dude; why not try the other as a girl? I think it would be great if technology progressed to the point where sex changes and other physical transformations were as easy as getting a haircut.

As long as it’s cash up front, I’m game. I like my penis just fine, but it’s not worth hundreds of millions to me. Money may not buy happiness, but I’d still rather cry in the back of a limo than on a bicycle.

I suspected more women would take the OP up on their offer then men, and reading the comments it certainly looks like that is the case.

Not to speak for anyone else, but I think many of the yes’s are taking the gamble that compensated, voluntary gender dysmorphia is a lot more livable than involuntary.
