Would you clear your browser cache to solve a website-specific problem?

Lastpass was the commercial password manager that had a breach a year+ ago. But not a breach of passwords.

For me the problem with built-in password managers is I have 3 kinds of machines using 3 different browsers. Other than a 3rd party app, there’s not a built-in mechanism that will tie a PC with Edge and Chrome, an iPad with Safari, and an Android phone’s Chrome plus the iPad’s and Phones large collection of dedicated app all together into a seamless whole for password management, form-filling, payment card management, etc.

For one person using one device with one browser, the facility built into the browser is probably adequate.

I used LastPass for years, but their repeated data breaches and lack of transparency regarding the latest one caused me to lose faith in them, so I changed to Bitwarden. Switching was a simple matter of exporting my data from LastPass, creating an account at Bitwarden, then importing the .csv file from LastPass. Even kept all my folders intact.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case. I’ve considered that before for similar reasons (as I use Chrome on desktop but Firefox on mobile), but so many of my passwords are already in Chrome and Firefox. I just keep a copy of both on my phone for the few that might be Chrome but not Firefox.
