This would have been as close as we could get to a Randy Feast if the website were still in business.
Given that, all legalitys considered, I’ve tried most other meats so sure, I’d try it.
Not the brains though, that’s where the kuru comes from.
I once read an article by William Buehler Seabrook, who had lived with a cannibalistic tribe, in which the taste was described as more like beef than pork. He wrote that although he had, at one point during his stay with the tribe, thought he was eating human being he found out later that they had deceived him. He subsequently made it a goal to try the taste of human flesh, and enlisted the help of a man who was able to procure for him the cadaver of a young accident victim who was in good health.
He described in the article the preparation of the human meat (a roast and a steak, iirc) and then described the taste of each. One I remember he said tasted like veal, and the other like beef.
He said it most certainly did not taste like pork. He wrote this in the 30s, and I’m looking now for where I read it online. I do recall that the person who got him the human cadaver was a medical intern/student in France.
As for me, damn right I would eat it. Just to know for sure what it tastes like.
Supposedly the Fore tribe. They are rumored to specifically have eaten the remains of those who died from kuru, the prionic brain disese that is the human version of mad cow.
Yes. I’m very curious.
No. Dogs, cats and humans as food animals are considered taboo among my people.
Sure.
