First of all, I’m all for legalizing prostitution. It could be quite a lucrative tax reward for the state and/or federal government much in the same way as legalizing marijuana would be. Fucking someone for money, wanting to pay someone for sex, wanting to smoke a little weed – I hardly see these as criminal acts. The current laws are archaic and the punishments even worse.
WARNING:TANGENT
Since I am a volunteer for the Gore campaign I have had the opportunity to review several legal documents, as a kind of research. What I discovered is that in most states, particularly my own, Texas, governed by Presidential candidate Bush, punishes responsible drug users with extreme prison terms – even first time offenders. A 14 year old kid was caught with less than a half ounce and was given 12 years. 12 years. At the age of 14. A man in his thirties murdered his wife and infant twins, sparing his 5 year old so she could “watch.” The fact that he did not kill the girl and also made a plea bargain – plead guilty by “temporary insanity” – he was given only 6 years and was released in less than 3 to a halfway house. I would love someone to explain to me how this is in any way fair.
END TANGENT
So anyway I’m thinking… thinking. My girlfriend works in a really classy strip club (is that an oxymoron?) and is constantly getting propositions. Jen is living with me right now until she can get her own place, which is impossible because of her petty crime and bad credit history. She gives me a lot of the money she makes and the rest go to bondsmen and lawyers (yeah yeah yeah I know she sounds like a real winner to you.)
Jen is an exotic dancer and one of her “regulars”, an older man, in his late 50’s, who by his own admission and Jen’s description, looks like Rodney Dangerfield, has offered her $100 0 or more if only he could take her out to dinner and have drinks on his hotel balcony (he visits Dallas for business about twice a month.)He assured her he only means to be kind and help her and is not expecting sex. Jen says that’s crazy, she’s not a whore, BUT she would do it for $10,000*0oojy,i eyes). I am sitting here thinking, money, at least to me, and he would probably give more if she did sleep with him.
So my question is this. If an UNattractive millionare offered you $1000 amd you were sure that amount could be easily multiplied if you slept with him, would you do it? Would it make a difference if it were an ATTRACTIVE millionare?
I think I would do it. It’s my body, and God knows I could use the money – my only worry is that my feeling of self worth would be terribly damaged if I allowed myself to get into such a situation. BUT that’s a lot of money, and it’s not like I’d be hustling anyone, or asking for another 100 every time he wanted a blow job…most of the time these guys will just keep pulling out cash as long as you don’t stop. I am NOT speaking from personal experience.
So, men, women – would you have sex for money? If so, how much minimum would you accept (EVERYONE has a price)? Would his/her appearance make a difference as to whether or not you’d go through with it? Does it make you a whore? Consider this: you are not asking for money, they are offering. Again, does this make you a prostitute? And if it did…so what? (Well, considering you don’t make it a habit…)
Just curious what you thought about this odd situation, and what YOU would do if were offered.
