Telling us who is and isn’t on your ignore list / buddy list could be a bad idea
Be careful, folks. Don’t get carried away.
Now I have, for purely experimental purposes, added Eats_Crayons to both my Buddy and Ignore list. If you can’t ignore your friends, who can you ignore?

So what did it do? I would expect it still lists me in the Buddy List but you can’t read my posts.

I just removed you from the ignore list. Here’s what your post looked like before I did that:

You know, for those posters that as soon as you see their userid you roll your eyes without even reading the post yet, because you just know… There should be a List that automatically replies with a rolleyes smiley so you don’t have to waste the time typing.

I honestly wasn’t looking for an ego boost but thanks. 
Your paragraph sums me up pretty well although the flirting line surprised me. I know I’ll comment on a cute girl (or guy) in the picture threads but wasn’t aware I did it much outside of them. I might do a search on my posts to see just how bad it is since I am shy as you guessed I am and don’t really like being known as a flirt.
And my options are open? Do tell.
Now I feel bad for not being able to write a similar paragraph about you. I definitely recognize your name and have a vague idea that you’re a conservative but that’s all. There’re just so many names on this board and even for the people I consider favorites, I couldn’t tell you much other than, well, I like them.

Don’t fret about it. Many people flirt a bit in MPSIMS. I’m sure I noticed it mainly in the pics threads. It’s more noticeable in most of the single/younger Dopers. Sort of like Punha running nekkid through all those threads. It’s very lighthearted, and your flirting is not as noticeable. Maybe flirting is not so much the right word, but I’ll leave it at that.
Well, I might be misremembering, and certainly don’t take offence if I’m incorrect, but I seem to recall you mentioning that you’re inclined to bisexuality. Which pretty much doubles your options for liaisons, right? 
NP, I’m not much about name recognition. I notice and remember most Dopers to some extent or another. Possibly because I post in almost every forum on a fairly regular basis. I’m pretty strongly anti-Bush, but would consider myself moderate at most other times. I’m pretty liberal socially and more conservative economically. Probably lean towards libertarianism. My biggest complaints about Bush are 1) I think he’s destroying the US economy as a cut taxes and spend like his Daddy’s buying quasi-conservative and 2) I fear he’s totally destroyed our image and leadership role in the world community. The other stuff is mostly the give and take of normal bipartisan politics. Ah, but I digress.
Anyway, the net point is that this is a place where even people whom you might not know often notice you. Just because you don’t see a response doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there paying attention to what you write.
That’s kind of creepy now I think of it. Maybe I’ll go sit in the corner with my blanket and suck my thumb.
Yeah, I’d like to know. Frankly, I’d be surprised if I weren’t at least on somebody’s, given my occasional tendency to post long and somewhat tedious rants that are directly interesting to perhaps three people in any given thread. I’d imagine that would get annoying to read after a while to somebody who’s just piddling around the boards. In addition to that, I think my most recent battles in CS and The Pit have a couple people convinced that I’m a moron. But hey, what can you do.
It wouldn’t hurt my feelings to find out I was being ignored; I’d just like to know for the heck of it.

I’m amazed at all the people who really think they’re on someone’s list. I’d be surprised if more than a very small handful of people have anybody on their list, and the ignored people are probably spammers. Seriously, it’s not an issue to skip past someone’s post if you don’t think you’re going to like it, and it’s a pain in the ass trying to make sense out of a thread if you’re ignoring an active participant in it.
