Enh…its kinda a dumb question anyway. Trump is too dangerous. I guess you’d need a fairly innocuous Republican for one to consider.
But they no longer have the power to do anything about it. Being scrutinized and condemned won’t stop Trump; it never has. And the Republicans have a lock on the government. The part of the country that opposes them and him no longer have the power to do anything but serve as victims.
So yes, I prefer the “sorta evil” President who is actually constrained by things like the law and public opinion.
Right now, I’m very nervous and scared for what might happen in the next four years. And weirdly nostalgic for the George W Bush administration.

I would choose blatant, obvious, scrutinized evil over subtle, less-scrutinized evil every day, every single time. Better the enemy in front of us, seen and obvious, than an insidious, gradual, boiling-the-frog evil.

I’ve heard that Trump is going to abolish Congress and SCOTUS and make himself dictator for life and then that his kids are going to rule after him. Better get used to a Trump rule for at least the next couple of hundred years.
