My group and I are going to start doing these soon. We’ve done Baron runs before, but not in 45 min. We figure it will take a lot of potions and little down time.
Any hints or tips anyone can give?
There’s a group of us on Garona(horde) that are trying to do this now. If you look on the WoW boards there’s a couple videos and images posted with groups you can/can not pull. Sadly it really sounds like almost everyone who has completed it has done it in a group mostly outfitted in epics. The closest our group has come so far has been having our time expire right as we hit the abomination cave.
Each time we’ve tried it’s really come down to one or two sloppy maneuvers, so I think with a little more practice we’ll be able to get it. The key is definitely non stop pulling, lots of mana pots(for non epic geared people) and, seriously, a little luck. The pulls change each time you go through there, for example the Baroness might possess someone in your group 3 times or 6 times. I think the only time the pulling should stop is before the baroness, before Rammstein and before the Baron. Someone should be fighting at all other times. Finally, it’s my opinion that you HAVE to do a death run(again, for non epicced people) at some point, most likely from Maleki to the abomination cave.

Alliance on Mal’Ganis here. The best I have ever done Baron is in one hour ten minutes. Unfortunately, that was with ten people. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do it. Heck, I haven’t even completed Strat or Scholo since 1.10.
I’m going to have to begin attempts in earnest soon.
