Shiira user here. It’s a webkit browser, like Safari, but it blows Safari out of the water.
I tried Shiira 2 for a while and generally liked it but found it to be too buggy. I like the new safari. I have had to change a few habits though. I don’t like the way you can’t middle click anywhere on a tab to close it like in FF, I also don’t like how it handles it when there are too many tabs in a window either.
Why doesn’t Safarii have the dropdown arrow for recently typed websites? That’s how I navigate, nevertheless I use bookmarks now.
I also wish there was a way to get del.ico.us going as a plugin in Safari, but I guess I’ll manage.
I’m not sure what you mean by having del.icio.us as a plugin, but maybe this page on their website can help you. When I experimented with the service, I put those bookmarklets in the menu bar so that whenever I wanted to post to del.icio.us it just took a click to do so.
If that’s not what you’re looking for, maybe these links will help (I’m assuming you’re using OS X if you used Shiira):

I found that having a folder on my desktop to store .webloc files was more useful than del.icio.us., which is why I only played with it for a while. My normal bookmark process is just to grab the address bar, drag it to the folder, and drop it in; instant bookmark. If I need tags, I Get Info on the .webloc and enter some keywords for Spotlight indexing. All I have to do is run a Spotlight search for something and either the file name (automatically generated from the title bar shown in the browser) will point to what I want, or one of my keywords will. The drawback is a folder with, at this point, about 2,000 little files in it. The advantage is that it only takes seconds for me to find something, if I’ve stored a bookmark for it.
For example, yesterday I was chatting with a buddy, and ancient alcohol-making came up. I remembered something about Sumerian beer and Egyptian wine. It took me about 5–10 seconds to find each of those bookmarks and throw them into the chat window.
Shiira 2 is still in beta and not ready for prime time. Shiira 1.2.1 is great though.
