I just saw the most amazing thing! There’s an ad for some obnoxious movie playing to the right of the page on Fark. It’s moving and distracting me and really irritating. But you know what it has? It has a little icon in the top left corner that says “Enable sound”.
In other words, if I want to hear what the ad is saying, I can choose to! I’m not automatically bombarded with obnoxious noises and trying to hunt down the stupid button to shut them up!
I feel so empowered. Seriously, I felt all warm and fuzzy about it and had to share.
