Wow, down again! Seems like it was up for a few hours, then they found out peeps were getting free phat lewtz and we’re back in patch-land. <sigh> And tomorrow will be crazy as LK comes out.
On the bright side, I’m getting a lot of work done. But who the heck wants to work?!?
Yep, Season 2 gear was free and season 4 had no ranking requirements on it, so the arena vendors were flooded with people buying up whole sets of gear, in spite of Blizz announcing that they’d be doing a server reset so quit it.
And now we’re back to no ETA. <sigh> I really wanted to get one more kara raid in before LK, since I’m guessing post-LK the need for kara will be small. I need ten more badges of justice for the belt I’ve been eying.
Yeah, I’ve got a level 68 toon with greens and a couple blues, and have no intent of trying to pick up any purple stuff before Northrend just because it will presumably all be at least equalled by the quest rewards in the Northrend equivalent of hellfire peninsula.
Isn’t there and achievement for that? 
I honestly don’t expect to be able to log in until Saturday sometime.

What makes me sad about this is that it means my last pre-Wrath raid was Hyjal. Our entire raid time was lost due to the downtime :(. No last chance at a Sunflare, or a Skull.
OTOH, our copies of Wrath were in the back entryway when we got home last night. Of course this is a maintence weekend for me, so little gaming time before Sunday. My wife should do well though.
Hopefully, all this downtime will translate into perfectly stable servers at midnight tonight. I hope they’re upping the capacity again–Baelgun has been having short queues lately, and the server went live shortly before the last expansion.
On the upside, our guild raided everything except Sunwell, so I’m in better shape gear-wise than last time, when we were halfway-ish through BWL. (I say -ish because the forth boss was a major issue, and we didn’t always get past him)
Where’d you preorder from to get your copies 2 days early? We preordered from Amazon which supposedly will deliver on release day… I’m crossing my fingers. We have a friend who works at Blizzard that offered to get us advance copies, but he was only able to score one copy so we figured we’d wait… patiently…:rolleyes:

Sorry to hijack my own thread, but my warrior is still stuck as a ghost, and I can’t get the “Resurrect Now?” dialog box to appear, and Blizz isn’t in any hurry to help me.
Is it possible to SUMMON a healer to get me going again? I’m standing right on top of my damn CORPSE!
Look on your map for a directional arrow to the spirit healer, go back and talk to her for a rezz.
That doesn’t work. There are only 2 locations I can go to: Northshire and Goldshire, and running my mouse all over the big map does not reveal a healer. I’m basically just running around hoping to run into her, but no go.
See, I already chose the option to look for my corpse, so she disappeared on me.
Apparently this is a common problem, but they sure aren’t in any hurry to help me fix it.
Here’s a suggestion which might work: run your ghost to Westfall (you died in Goldshire, right?) and then out to sea. Keep running until your ghost gets fatigued, at which point you’ll “die” a second time and get ported back to the spirit healer, where you’ll be able to accept her rez.

There is a spirit healer in Northshire, Goldshire and at the eastern logging camp – you will be able to see her as long as you’re dead – doesn’t matter if you’ve decided to run off or not. If you go back, she will be there. She won’t show up on your map, you have to physically (or apparitionally, if you will) run there yourself.
Quasi, don’t be shy about using the chat channels to ask for help finding the spirit healer. Just type /1 to get to the general channel, then ask your question, like:
/1 Can someone please help me find the spirit healer? I’ve been dead for days and I can’t rez and I can’t find the graveyard!
Someone will almost surely offer help.
Alternatively, make a new character of the same race as yours, run to the zone you died in, and get yourself killed. When you appear at the healer, make a note of where you are, then run your other char there.
Whew! I’m back!!! It took a while an we went splashin’ through a lot of water and I wound up in Stranglethorn Vale by way of some guy’s expedition, but then I got bit by a shark and killed , rezzed, got bit by a croc and killed, rezzed and hearth-stoned my way back to Goldshire.
Me an ol’ Wolkenlaufer are gonna get drunk and hopefully get laid and go hunt for that necklace later on in the morning!
