Gotta admire the timing of pissing off all your loyal fans just two days before you expect them to give you several hundred million dollars.
I actually signed up for my free 10-day trial yesterday. That’s working out really well for me so far. First it said 9 Eastern, then 10 Eastern, now 10:45 Eastern.
Is this typical?
There’s a glitch with the in-game mail. I suppose it’s better than bringing the servers online and having tons of valuable mail vanish into the nether.
Nope. Delays on patch day aren’t hugely uncommon, but being delayed this late is pretty damned rare.
Sweet.
Delays are usually an hour or so. This one is especially weird because the servers were up for about 25 minutes before they brought them all offline again.

I can’t ever remember one this long, and I’ve played on and off since beta.
Driving me nuts, it is. I’m on a strict daily quest schedule for Skyguard faction!
They’re usually pretty good about extending subscriptions and trials after extended downtime. I’m guessing you’ll get your full 10 days.

At any rate, I’m not so full of hubris that I think I’m going to get away without ponying up.
Ironically, today is the first day I’ve tried to log in for over 2 months. Maybe it’s a sign I should just stay away for good

It was just as bad when BC came out. That patch was nasty huge.
Doomhammer used to go down like this every maintenance day until they upgraded the hardware on the original servers.

Dammit, I’ve got auctions to check. My 45 warlock is a bar from leveling. My 70 ret pally has mining to do, auctions to check, and jewels to cut! My toons are busy dammit, and this is holding me up!
My hubby’s 45 priest is raking in the gold with the glyphs and various other auctions. He’s afraid he’s going to have so much mail he won’t be able to get it all.
We’ve played since the original beta came out too. I can really only recall one time that it was down this long and that happened not too long after original game was released.

Do y’all have a good guild there on Spinebreaker, for raids and such? That was my first server and I still have a Tauren druid there. Or are y’all <gasp!> Alliance?
I hope they get it right. The pre-patch of a few weeks ago was a disaster. I still have a 62 Hunter in limbo because she has no access to her pet bear, Doodles. Nor can she set it free or train another beast as a pet. Suddenly a common bear picked up in Ashenvale is an exotic pet? Harumph.
