A week ago John Oliver did a piece of the WWE addressing the bullshit wrestlers deal with and Vince McMahon’s assholery.
John asked the fans to chant and wave signs at last nights WestleMania to pressure the league to do more for it’s employees.
I wasn’t going to pay to watch it, but I am sure there are fans on the Dope who did so I ask-
Did fans show up with signs and chant?
I didn’t notice anything, but I wasn’t really looking. The WWE is quite good at making sure signs and chants they don’t like aren’t seen and heard on TV.
Not that I heard, and I highly doubt anyone did. The things brought up in Oliver’s segment aren’t anything new to wrestling fans so if they wanted to chant they would have already.
Honestly the most odd-ball chant I heard was for WWE to turn the lights off because fans couldn’t see (happens a lot in outdoor venues).
There was an Oliver 3:16 sign at one point too, but that’s all I noticed.
