Don’t forget lovable Sgt Schul[t]z
Not the first one. solost guessed the name in post 2.
“Incredibly Strange creatures stop living and become mixed-up zombies.”
Some blurbs just write themselves.
“Englishman goes up hill, comes down mountain.”
Something like 4 or 5 11(!) years ago, I started what I thought would be a short-lived ‘5 word movie review’ CS thread which @Elendil_s_Heir turned into a Thread Game which I’m happy to see is still active to this day:
So I hope the OP doesn’t mind if I do the same-- I think it’d be fun. Here we go…
Yes, but I didn’t intend it as a puzzle. The blurb annoyed me. Who the fuck is Justine? Am I supposed to know something about her?
No, I don’t mind. It seems a valid and fun way to engage the topic. But it does prevent some funny aspects from being displayed. Like name dropping a specific character for no reason.
Well, my thread is inspired by this one, but it’s its own thing, and this thread will stand apart as its own thing ![]()
I think I missed something about this one.
It’s a small but important scene towards the end of the movie. A few posts before there were other bad blurbs for the same movie.
The Shawshank Redemption?
Sounds like “A Christmas Carol", but that’s too easy, so I’ll say “Scrooged!”
Yep! iamatractorboy already beat ya to it, though…
No and no. Think, that other classic, oft-parodied Christmas movie where the supernatural intervenes. Since this isn’t a game thread, I’ll just spoiler-blur the answer:
It’s a Wonderful Life
Doh! Good one.
Upwardly mobile woman with a corporate job attends a Christmas party, where she has to contend with her pig-headed husband, disturbed employees, obnoxious coworker, and a hostile takeover attempt.
Die hard
Yep …
Shawshank warden.
A brilliant girl goes to Wizarding school to hone her magical skill only to be upstaged by her best friend.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie, so I’d forgotten that scene.
