I put comments on student papers using Microsoft’s native voice-to-text feature – it’s a huge timesaver when grading many dozens of papers. But I frequently want to type a comment like “You need a comma after this word”, which the app renders as “You need a, after this word”. The same thing happens if I spell out c-o-m-m-a as I narrate – the app starts typing the word out, but when it gets to the a and realizes it’s the word comma, it changes it to a “,”. Is there any way to make this work as I want it to?
It’s a kind of kludge, but you could speak a word it will voice recognize (or a pair of words that don’t go together) then at the end do a global replace.
