Their actions are totally logical taking into account the legal and cultural conditions there, notice a vagrant helped the child. Thats because stories of good samaritans snared by scam artists or bankrupted by the victims have filled Chinese media.
Basically China is much like the USA in the health care arena, and perhaps even worse! So having an accident like this someone has to pay your hospital bill, if you are poor you lie and say it was the person who helped you to the hospital. Judges think someone helping someone shows guilt, why else would you help someone?
Seriously do research and you will see Chinese law and culture is to blame for this cluster fuck, hope something changes.

Well, now that you’ve had your fun, could you explain it? My first thought was that in “Obama’s America,” people are so dissipated that a story about a small child being left to die by several bystanders after being hit by a truck causes them emotional distress.
That doesn’t seem to fit well with RR’s standard complaints about President Obama, though, so could you do the honors?

RO threads about incidents that are so completely outrageous that anyone besides Hitler would be totally outraged are especially stupid. There’s kind of an inverse thing going on here–I’m more OK with RO threads if someone creatively finds the outrage or at least exhibits their niche outrage interest or does something interesting ferbleedingchrissakes. Saying that it’s terrible when a kid is killed and no one cares is not interesting (aside–as is par for the course from our esteemed OP–the guy is mayo on white bread as far as interesting goes).
