WTF Encore? How'm I supposed to know who won the Civil War?

Encore showed the first 6 episodes of North and South in a marathon yesterday has doesn’t seem to have any plans of showing the last howevermany. How can they do that? There are too many people who have their uppance coming and I don’t know how or if they get it.

O.K., this is an 80’s era mini-series, so I’m almost sure they do get it but I wanna see! What happens to slutty Southern Sis (best line of the first half of the series, looking at herself with her hair done up and shirtless: I wish I could go out like this.), her retarded husband and her greedy lover (to Morgan Fairchild’s admonishing, “I think you love money more than you love me.” He answers, “Well, I do love money and I don’t ever remember telling you that I loved you.”)
Kristy Alley, whose character is a warning: If you love black dick, you must be crazy.
David Carradine has got to die (hopefully not hung while masturbating). An Leslie Ann Downes has to suffer just a little bit more for having a whore mother and passing herself as white.

Do Hazard and Maine meet on the battlefield? Who wins the ten dollars?

Then there’s stuffy Riker and his mealymouthed wife, Genie Frances and her mixed marriage (half north, half south) and Liz Taylor, the madame with the heart of gold.

Tell me, how does the war end?

Encore Western will be airing Book II starting June 10.

That’s nice, but what about the second half of book one?

Book one only had six episodes, according to Wikipedia.

Yes, Book II picks up where the first miniseries ends. Now you can find out who won the war.

My brother (born 1988) is named after Patrick Swayze’s character. Seriously.
