WTF happened to my Spy Sweeper? HELP!

After taking some steps recommended in THIS thread, my computer ran smooth as silk.

but then I noticed the Spy Sweeper wasn’t doing it’s programmed sweeps.

So I clicked on the desk top icon. A shell of the program popped up. It says “Webroot Spy sweeper” on it, but nothing else. I cannot click on anything in the program.

I tried to run a restore on it in admin tools, but a message popped up that I was denied access to the program!

Should I just reinstall the disk? Or what?

And how did this happen?

And now I’m getting warnings that Webroot Spy Sweeper is causing high disk usage. But at the same time it’s as though I don’t even have spy sweeper any more.:confused::confused::confused:

If it were mine, I’d try to uninstall it completely, reboot and reinstall. Most of the search results I get are old, years old.
