Add several instances of bald racial atrocities being committed by whites against blacks, including one with a white cop casually killing a black man on camera, aided by several other cops. Everyone watches on the tee vee because they’re all staying home.
Let the matter simmer for a few days without taking action against the obviously culpable cops.
Throw in what appears to be a completely pointless “press conference” where someone lets slip that there might be evidence to clear the obviously culpable cop.
Sit back and watch the protests begin.
Stir the pot with sov/cit, white nationalist Oath Keeper types just spoiling for an opportunity to start their new “civil war.”
Crank up the heat with inflammatory rhetoric as offered by Bill Barr, who just came out and named “far left extremists” as being the culprits. No mention of the white nationalist types who are itching for their race war – including the one who occupies the Oval Office.
Tip the whole mess into chaos as the head White Nationalist in the Oval elbows the Pentagon to get the military ready to crack heads under the Insurrection Act.

You are giving these people way too much credit for planning and executing an elaborate and well orchistrated conspiracy. The reality is these people couldn’t harmonize a barbarshop quartet. These crimes and violations are occurring on a regular basis but without the daily chaff of other superfluous news for cover, it is now on the forefront.

You’re right on the pardon thing, of course. And I can certainly allow that TrumpCo are too incompetent to plan/execute a well-orchestrated conspiracy.
But there are people who swim around them who certainly could. People from around the country and even from outside the country. A lot like Russian interference in 2016: Trump didn’t orchestrate it, but he sure was happy to have it and use it to his full advantage.
I think we could agree that Trump and his cabal could make similar use of this situation, irrespective of how it initially arose, in their usual ham-handed way.
It’s just all so convenient… and we’re sure not talking about the pandemic and his shitty response to it anymore, are we?
