Wtf kfc

I walked into KFW one day…

That is just wrong.

If it is Franchise, they may be contractually obligated to be open.

KFW? Kind & Friendly to Wombats?

Dude, in the last 16 or so months, my dog’s food and a bottle of my favorite adult beverage have both gone up 60%. I don’t see the prices returning any time soon.
Five for $5 was one of my favorite promotions. Scarf down two or three on the spot and save the remainder for later.

You make a good point, could’ve been worse

Bojangles >> Popeyes >> KFC

I’ve been to one that was out of coffee. Really. I blinked at the girl a few times after she said they had no more coffee, because I couldn’t find words. Luckily I was only a few minutes from the next Tim Hortons…

Ha! I’ve been to Arbys when they were out of roast beef!

No, no, no. They were out of doughnuts.

:smack:

My mistake

Interestingly, this is also the sound one makes when having a coronary.

On the “I went to X restaurant and they were out of X” side-topic, I once worked at a pita-sandwich shop. Think Subway, only in a pocket pita instead of on bread.

Yep, we ran out of pitas. The only things we could sell were cookies, soda, and “salads” (which were the contents of a sandwich with extra lettuce, minus the pita, and a buck MORE).

Luckily the owner showed up with a trunkload of pitas about a half-hour later.

I went to a non-Starbucks coffee shop early one morning and was informed they had not yet made any coffee, but if I would wait about 20 minutes they would brew some. I ended up buying a bottled Starbucks coffee instead

They do Mash at KFC??

We ran out of sugar once and the manager made us open sugar packets to refill the sugar dispenser. When I was complaining (quietly as I worked) one of the employees who’d been around longer told me about the time they ran out of coffee at that location.

Yes, instant mashed potatoes and gravy. The wedges are OK (too salty, though) but the mashed taters n’ gravy make it more meal-like and not just fast food.

Yeah, I’ve ordered five for five within the past year. I know I’m not remembering wrong, because I thought it was a new thing–I have no memory of any previous such sale that might be interfering with my memory of this sale.

When I worked at Subway, there was a night when we ran out of bread, because the morning shift forgot/was too busy to bake it. We had more dough and all, but it took awhile to thaw, prep, and proof…so for about an hour and half we were completely out. I was just as pissed as the customers, actually, because hell, I wanted to make my sandwich, too! Luckily, the batch we made got finished baking just before my shift ended. And the morning shift made up for it by baking a ton of bread the next day.

Also,

Church’s >> Popeyes >> KFC

If only there was one conveniently located to me!

Church’s? Seriously? Are you sure you didn’t accidentally reverse the arrows? Churchs’ one saving grace is it’s utter cheapness, but the food is barely adequate and the service is horrid. Every time I somehow get the notion into my head to go into a Church’s, I end up waiting half an eternity. Ugh.
