Why doesn’t the Reader make bracelets with WWCD? on them
Just like a string tied around someone’s finger help remind themself of something, that’s what the purpose of the bracelet in regards to Christ-like thought and behavior. There are some folks who need it for instant visual support.
If they are not acting in a Christian-like manner, just ask them…“Hey cool bracelet… what does “WWJD” mean?” You might see a quick change of heart in the response, hopefully for the better.
FTR: I wouldn’t wear the bracelet because I want my actions speak for me, not my clothes or accessories.
WWJD? is sooooooooooooooooo 1997.
Besides, I’d rather ask What Would Kirk Do?
In re: smug bumper stickers, I saw a doozy the other day.
“On Judgment Day, you’ll wish you had a Jesus bumper sticker on YOUR car!”
:smack:
I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna look for the hot alien babe and score.
I haven’t seen a WWJD bracelet in about 4 years. They’re just now getting popular where you live? Wow.
moseys off, satisfied that for once West Virginians aren’t the last in the country to catch on to a fad
Maybe we can start a new fad: What Would Cecil Do?
Seriously, you needta chill. It’s a bracelet.
That’s your web store, right?
When I saw the title, I thought you meant Kirk Cameron, who is the star of this video series we are watching in our church group.
Its from this website called www.wayofthemaster.com
I didn’t watch his sitcom, but in this video he comes across as scary, in a Moonie kind of way.
Kirk has been sort of creepy, since he found religion.
The “E! True Hollywood Story” about Growing Pains pretty much said that the entire cast, crew, and production team of the show hated Kirk after he got religion. He was apparently really annoying after that.
Just read that link.
What kind of monster puts down HOLLOW chocolate Easter Bunnies!!!
I don’t mind the WWJD bracelets, it’s the insane shirts and bumper stickers that get me. All the stores are infested with shirts that have references to those things. One shirt I saw said “Satan is a Nerd”, which is offensive to nerds. It’s alright to wear “God = Love” But if Atheists started to wear shirts saying “God = Fake”, there would be a lawsuit.
I’m pretty sure it would get thrown out. However, someone in the media would pick up on it and sensationalize the shit out of it, prompting some big fancy lawyer to offer to do it pro bono. Then it would get even more national (possibly international) exposure, before it gets thrown out again.
So, anyone want to do it?
Actually, if I read the sense of your statement correctly, it identifies them as part of the “in crowd”. I think I’m with the OP on this.
I’ll do it.
Some comedian guy “Yeah, some guy was talking loud in the theater. I was going to get mad, but then I thought, ‘What would Jesus do?’ So I lit him on fire and sent him to hell.”
I’ve always been partial to WWRRD?; it works for so many wacky role models:
Roy Rogers. Ronald Reagan. Ross Rebagliati. Any of 'em.
I think the more interesting question is, who would Jesus kill?
