…I won’t be able to answer your question, but I just had an absolute freaky X-files moment thanks to this thread…
A while ago my brother told me about an episode of the X Files that I missed, staring Burt Reynolds, which had a cool ending that I won’t detail here… well, our local channel has been repeating season 9 at about 230 in the morning, so I stayed up last night to see if it was the Burt Reynolds one (it wasn’t, and I soon nodded off… )
…so today comes along, and I’m scanning the Straight Dope, and I click on this thread, read it, and then go away for a while… and when I come back, forgetting what your thread was about, I clicked over to TVtome to see how far away the Burt Reynolds episode was… and realized that the name of the episode was “Improbable” … for a couple of minutes, I pushed the back and forwards button on my browser… what an improbable thing to do!!!
(Improbable will be on NZ television next Saturday morning at about 230AM, if anyone is interested!!! )
TNT shows episodes at midnight and 1 AM, Monday through Thursday. They don’t appear to give listings more than one week in advance, but you can at least check in the near term right here.
The Sci-Fi Channel also shows a lot of episodes at various times of day. You can check the schedule in advance by going to this page and searching the entire schedule for X-Files.
Bad news Johnny, the syndication rotation of The X-Files just ran past “Improbable”, or the Burtisode as it’s known at Television Without Pity, last weekend.
The SciFi schedulebot goes through the end of June and it’s not listed.
The TNT guide ghoes through June 14 and it’s not listed.
The Seattle Fox station shows X-Files late Sunday night (technically early Monday morning I guess, since it’s midnight and 1 am), but they appear to have just passed that episode as well.
