I don’t understand why singles tennis is more popular (to watch) (which is why this is in Cafe Society, I’m talking about the TV-viewing side of it here) than doubles tennis. Doubles, at least to a naive observer, has FAR more interesting points, with lots of crazy and exciting shots, as opposed to singles in which it seems like there aren’t many exciting points, and the ones that are exciting are usually exciting for the same reason.
(Note that the point of this thread is NOT “Masterpiece theater should be more popular than The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. There are plenty of threads for that. It’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta should be more popular than the Real Housewives of DC because…”.)
